NFL and College Football Matchups to Watch This Weekend in Florida
If you’re a Florida football fan, this weekend is giving you plenty of great games on the docket. Here’s when and where to watch:
In the college football space, the game that really sticks out to me is today’s matchup between the Florida Gators and Auburn Tigers. Both teams have 2-0 records to start the season and sit atop the SEC along along with the Alabama Crimson Tide for the time being, but we’ll get a good feel for which of these college squads has the makeup of a true contender.
Depending on who you talk to, the Gators have either the best or second-best running back in college football with Jadan Baugh. The Atlanta native already has 296 rushing yards and five touchdowns in just two appearances this season and he’s projected to be an early-to-mid first-round pick at the 2027 NFL Draft if he can keep pace.
On the NFL side of things, I’m really looking forward to seeing what the Jacksonville Jaguars can do against a motivated Denver Broncos team that is fresh off a Monday Night Football loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Interestingly enough, the Broncos let the Chiefs run up 220 rushing yards against them so Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten could be counted on for a big game, along with Trevor Lawrence’s continued quarterback evolution.
