Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have their backs up against the wall tonight, as they face elimination in their first-round series against the Las Vegas Aces. Indiana was blown out 102-85 in the series opener, and now need a victory to force a do-or-die Game 3 back in Las Vegas. Online sportsbooks like their chances, pegging the Fever as 1.5 favorites versus the defending champs.

I’m finding more value in the betting market at Kalshi for this contest, rather than in traditional sportsbooks. For example, Kalshi has the game total lined at 182.5 points, a full point lower than commercial books. That’s a line I want to attack, as I believe the firepower of both teams, combined with Indiana’s pace and their lacklustre defense is going to lead to a high-scoring environment tonight. Aces vs Fever Expert Picks for Game 2
- Over 182.5 (53¢ / -113 at Kalshi)
My favorite Aces vs Fever pick tonight is Over 182.5 points. These two teams ranked number one and two during the regular season in offensive rating, and boast rosters littered with star power.
Let’s start with the Fever. Of course Clark is the headliner, but this squad also features a pair of additional All-Stars in Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. Clark is one of the league’s premier playmakers and long distance shooters, while Mitchell is the WNBA’s second leading scorer. She recently had an incredible run of 20+ points in 27 straight outings, and is enjoying the most efficient season of her career. Mitchell and Clark were a disappointing 10-for-33 in Game 1, but those numbers are bound to improve given they’re back on their home floor.
Speaking of home court advantage, the Fever’s offense has been unstoppable in Indiana. They average 99.8 points per game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, while playing at the league’s fastest pace (100.42) at home.
As for the Aces offense, it was electric in Game 1, and all signs point to that continuing for the WNBA Championship odds contender. Wilson, the WNBA’s leading scorer, was in peak form splashing 38 points on 15-of-19 shooting. She has a major advantage in the paint and on the glass, as we’ll discuss below, and Indiana simply has no answer for her size and athleticism.
In addition to Wilson, Las Vegas also gets superb offensive efficiency from Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray, while Jewell Loyd has been providing consistent scoring off the bench. The Aces shot a ridiculous 59% from the floor and 47% from three in the series opener, and there’s nothing to suggest Indiana can get enough stops to prevent this game from going over. The Fever rank 11th in the league in opponent points per game, surrendering 90+ points in eight of their past 11 outings.
Aces vs Fever Predictions for Game 2
- A’ja Wilson 30+ Points (45¢ / +122 at Kalshi)
Moving over to the player props market, where I’m targeting 30+ points for Wilson. It’s a mark she’s hit in three of her past four contests, and she proved in Game 1 that she can get any shot she wants inside. Wilson is an absolute beast in the paint, as evident by her 16 rebounds in Game 1. Those rebounds led to plenty of easy put backs and second chance buckets, which should come as no surprise versus this version of the Fever. Indiana allowed the third most points in the paint during the regular season, opening the door for another monster night from the 6’4″ center.
As if the threat of her inside wasn’t terrifying enough, Wilson is also an excellent long range shooter when she chooses to stretch the defense. She buried both her three-point attempts in Game 1, and is shooting over 40% from beyond the arc this year.
