1. Ole Miss at Texas
- 7:30 pm ET | ABC
This is the cleanest strength-against-strength matchup of the week, with Ole Miss throwing for 290.7 yards a game against a Texas secondary allowing 166.2. The Rebels are 5-1 off a 31-3 win over then-No. 13 Missouri, while Texas is 4-2 and fell 12 spots after losing 27-24 to Florida. Texas is favored by three in Austin.
2. Houston at Utah
- 10:15 pm ET | ESPN
GameDay is in Salt Lake City, and Utah is 6-0 after a 27-24 win at Colorado while averaging 40.2 points and allowing 14.8. Houston is 6-1 and Conner Weigman just threw for 343 yards and five touchdowns in a 35-32 win over Oklahoma State. Houston vs Utah kicks at 10:15 and is worth staying up for.
3. Pitt at Miami
- Noon ET | ESPN
Miami is 6-0 and top-ranked after a 43-35 double-overtime win over Florida State, scoring 48.5 points per game. Pitt is 5-2, and Corey Dailey made its last start following Mason Heintschel’s injury. The Pitt vs Miami spread is the largest on this list at 20 points.
4. Indiana at Michigan
- Noon ET | FOX
Indiana is 6-1 after Ohio State ended the unbeaten run 19-15, and the Hoosiers score 36.6 while allowing 12.9. Michigan is 4-2 off a 21-18 win over Penn State, averaging 22.7 points and 313.3 yards with Tommy Carr in an extended role. The Indiana vs Michigan total of 41.5 fits exactly what those offenses have shown.
5. LSU at Auburn
- Noon ET | ABC
Auburn is 4-2 and just beat then-No. 1 Georgia 27-24. LSU is 5-2 off a 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State, averaging 40.4 points and 504 yards while allowing 15.9. LSU vs Auburn tests whether the hosts can follow their upset with another SEC win.
6. Texas A&M at Alabama
- 3:30 pm ET | ABC
Alabama is 5-2 and still scoring 39.3 a game, but the Tide are coming off a 26-10 loss at Tennessee. Texas A&M is 4-3 and allows just 17.1 points. That makes 13.5 a lot to lay in the Texas A&M vs Alabama odds.
7. BYU at UCF
- 3:30 pm ET | FOX
BYU is 6-0 and up to No. 2 after beating Notre Dame 28-24, scoring 33.5 points and allowing 15.2. UCF is 3-3 off a bye, but the Knights are 3-0 at home and 0-3 away. BYU vs UCF at 6.5 is short for a top-two team, and a loss would shake up the College Football Playoff Bracket.
8. Tennessee at South Carolina
- 3:30 pm ET | ESPN
Tennessee is 6-1 after beating Alabama 26-10 behind 159 rushing yards from DeSean Bishop, and the Vols allow 14.7 points and 159.3 passing yards. George MacIntyre has started the last two, though Josh Heupel has not named a Week 8 starter. South Carolina runs for 232.3 yards a game, setting up a ground-game test in Tennessee vs South Carolina.
9. Texas Tech at Cincinnati
- Noon ET | FS1
Cincinnati runs for 231.2 yards a game and meets a Texas Tech defense giving up 82 on the ground. The Red Raiders are 6-0 after a 53-25 win over Arizona State, and the Bearcats are 4-2. Texas Tech vs Cincinnati pairs a productive ground game with a stingy run defense.
10. USC at Wisconsin
- 7:30 pm ET | NBC
USC has 132 plays of 10 yards or more, and Wisconsin has allowed only 54 while holding five straight home opponents under 20 points. The Trojans throw for 310.1 yards a game against a Badgers defense giving up 171.2. USC vs Wisconsin is a three-pointer in Madison, so check the college football odds before Saturday.
