No. 6 Indiana (6-1) visits Michigan (4-2) on Saturday, October 24, with kickoff set for noon ET on FOX at Michigan Stadium. The Indiana vs Michigan odds have the Hoosiers as a road favorite in one of the biggest Big Ten games of the weekend.
Indiana is coming off its first loss of the season, a 19-15 loss to Ohio State. Michigan rallied to beat Penn State 21-18, but the comeback left a big question mark at quarterback.
Below I break down my final Indiana vs Michigan prediction, picks and updated spread, with a closer look at the quarterback news and matchup stats.
Indiana vs Michigan Prediction
My Indiana vs Michigan prediction starts with Josh Hoover. He has thrown for 1,660 yards, 18 touchdowns and zero interceptions this season. He also has two reliable targets in Charlie Becker (694 receiving yards) and Nick Marsh (585), who both stretch defenses vertically.
The run game carries just as much weight. Turbo Richard (643 yards) and Lee Beebe Jr. (575) power a ground attack averaging 200.1 rushing yards per game. That balance keeps Indiana ahead of the chains and makes it tough for any defense to sell out against one thing.
Michigan’s offense is harder to trust. Sophomore Bryce Underwood was pulled in the second half against Penn State after throwing two interceptions. Tommy Carr then sparked 21 unanswered points, going 5-for-7 for 47 yards and adding 36 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Michigan had not publicly named its starter in the official October 21 coaching update, leaving a quarterback decision to follow. Either way, the passing game runs almost entirely through JJ Buchanan (482 yards) and Andrew Marsh (289), who account for 77.6% of the team’s receiving yards.
Those two receivers give Indiana clear priorities in coverage. Indiana has allowed just 12.04 points per game since the start of the 2025 season, and I expect its defense to give the Hoosiers the edge in this Indiana vs Michigan matchup.
Indiana vs Michigan Picks
For my Indiana vs Michigan picks, I’m passing on the moneyline at 73¢. The better value in this Big Ten clash sits on the spread and the total.
Indiana vs Michigan Spread Pick
- Indiana -7.5 (49¢ on Kalshi)
Indiana protects the football as well as anyone. The Hoosiers have just three offensive turnovers this season and a +3 margin, while Michigan has given the ball away 11 times and sits at -3. That gap tends to show up on the scoreboard.
Indiana has also finished even or better in turnover margin in 31 straight games, postseason included. Against a Michigan offense still sorting out its quarterback, I like the Hoosiers to pull away late and cover.
Indiana vs Michigan Total Pick
- Under 42.5 (50¢ on Kalshi)
Indiana’s run defense allows just 75.4 yards per game. That is a big problem for a Michigan offense that leans on 147.7 rushing yards per game to stay on schedule and keep its young quarterbacks out of long passing downs.
Michigan’s defense can hold up its end too, giving up only 89.7 rushing yards per game. Indiana scored 20 and 15 points in its last two games against quality defenses, and I see a similar grind in Ann Arbor.
Updated Indiana vs Michigan Spread
Here’s where Kalshi has the updated Indiana vs Michigan spread, moneyline and total. Each price is the cost of one contract that pays $1 if it hits, so a 49¢ price works out to roughly a 49% implied chance.
Total 42.5: Over 51¢ / Under 50¢
Odds from Kalshi as of October 23.
The market has Indiana as a clear favorite but splits almost evenly on the 7.5-point number. You can compare prediction market apps or grab a Kalshi promo code before buying in. For sportsbook numbers, check the latest college football odds.
