  • Both teams sit at 4-3 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 play heading into the Space Game
  • Read below for our Baylor vs UCF prediction, spread and Space Game picks

The Baylor Bears and UCF Knights enter tonight’s matchup with identical 4-3 overall and 2-2 conference records. The Knights are coming off a 39-31 double-overtime win over BYU as they prepare to host their annual Space Game.

Baylor, meanwhile, edged Kansas 25-24 after blocking three field goals, including a 45-yard try with 22 seconds left last time out. The program is still in transition following the firing of head coach Dave Aranda, which handed the keys to interim Joe Klanderman.

Kicking off at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN from the Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando, FL, Baylor is a slight road favorite in the college football odds. My Baylor vs UCF prediction can be found below, along with the latest spread and Space Game picks.

Baylor vs UCF Prediction

Baylor vs UCF Prediction: Baylor -1.5 (50¢) and Under 47.5 (49¢) on Polymarket

When evaluating the Polymarket prices for this matchup, Baylor is a narrow favorite. The prediction market is pricing Baylor at 52¢ on the moneyline, which implies a 52% probability of a Baylor victory. Our Baylor vs UCF prediction leans on the Bears’ defense to slow a productive UCF offense and keep this game in a lower-scoring range.

The Baylor vs UCF spread sits at 1.5 points, with Baylor laying the short number on the road. The key takeaway: Baylor -1.5 costs only 50¢, cheaper than the moneyline, and the Under is the lower-priced side of the total at 49¢.

Baylor vs UCF Space Game Picks

Our Space Game picks target the visitors’ defense on both the spread and the total.

Space Game Pick #1: Baylor -1.5

  • Pick: Baylor -1.5 (Buy at 50¢ on Polymarket)

Rather than laying 52¢ on the moneyline, taking Baylor to cover the 1.5-point spread at an even 50¢ means we need the Bears to win by at least two points. Baylor’s defensive front has been a nightmare for opponents, ranking third nationally in sacks and fifth in tackles for loss. Interim coach Klanderman will lean on this aggressive defense to rattle the pocket and stall UCF drives.

The Bears also rank 19th in scoring defense and held their first six opponents to 20 points or fewer before Kansas reached 24. Offensively, DJ Lagway went 20-of-31 for 236 yards with one touchdown and one interception against Kansas, adding 47 rushing yards, while Gavin Freeman caught nine passes for 123 yards. UCF allows 239.7 passing yards per game, giving Lagway a workable matchup through the air.

The swing matchup is Keyone Jenkins against Baylor’s front. He has thrown for 1,099 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions, adding 76 rushing yards and four scores. UCF averages 32.7 points and 370.3 yards per game, splitting that production between 163.3 rushing yards and 207 passing yards. Duke Watson leads the ground game with 577 yards and three touchdowns on 85 carries.

Defensively, UCF allows 23 points and 357.7 yards per game, including 118 on the ground.

If Baylor wins on early downs and forces Jenkins into obvious passing situations, the Knights’ balanced attack becomes far easier to defend.

Space Game Pick #2: Under 47.5

  • Pick: Under 47.5 (Buy at 49¢ on Polymarket)

The market prices the Over at 53¢ and the Under at 49¢, and we are targeting the Under. UCF quarterback Jenkins has been cleared to start, but against a defense that ranks third nationally in sacks and 24th in pass efficiency defense, deep passing concepts will struggle to develop.

UCF’s ground game, which produces 163.3 rushing yards per game, should chew up the clock and keep the field position battle tight. Baylor ranks 22nd nationally against the run and 18th in red zone defense, so stalled drives that end in field goals are the clearest path to staying under the number.

Baylor vs UCF Injury Report

Per SI’s October 28 injury report, Jenkins has been cleared, Dawson Pendergrass is questionable, and DeMari Henderson, DJ Bell and Taevion Swint are out. Check final statuses before kickoff, and compare prices across the top college football betting apps before locking in your Space Game picks.
