  • No. 3 Georgia and No. 17 Florida renew their rivalry in Atlanta for the first time
  • Both offenses finish drives efficiently, shaping the odds for this Saturday CFB rivalry
  • Read below for my top rivalry picks for Saturday’s showdown

The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (6-1) and No. 17 Florida Gators (5-2) meet Saturday, Oct. 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. It is the first time the rivalry has been played in Atlanta, moving this neutral-site game away from its traditional Jacksonville setting.

Both teams are coming off a bye. Georgia last played on Oct. 17, a 27-24 loss to Auburn, while Florida beat Texas 27-24 that same day. Georgia has won the last five meetings, including a 24-20 decision in 2025.

My Florida vs Georgia prediction comes down to how each offense finishes drives and how each side handles the football. Below, I break down the odds, the matchup and my rivalry picks.

Florida vs Georgia Prediction

Prediction: Georgia wins, but Florida stays within 11.5 points in a game that clears 57.5 total points.

Georgia has earned its spot as the favorite. The Bulldogs score 43.0 points per game and allow just 15.9, with a defense that gives up 276.4 yards per game and only 185.0 through the air. Gunner Stockton has been efficient, completing 74.1% of his passes for 1,570 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Florida brings enough offense to make this uncomfortable. The Gators average 39.6 points and 450.9 yards per game, and Aaron Philo has completed 70.5% of his passes for 1,341 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions across six games. Last year’s meeting was decided by four points.

Prices checked Oct. 31 and subject to change.

Each contract pays $1 if it hits, so the price works as a rough implied probability. A 49¢ contract implies about a 49% chance. Georgia at 81¢ to win outright shows the market sees a clear favorite, but the spread and total both sit near coin-flip prices. Florida’s case starts with the two things that keep an underdog within two scores: protecting the football and finishing drives. The Gators have just seven giveaways against nine takeaways, and they have scored on 31 of 33 red zone trips. When they reach the 20, they rarely leave empty-handed.

Georgia’s defense is the real obstacle. Holding opponents to 15.9 points per game is elite, and a 53.9% third-down conversion rate lets the Bulldogs control possessions. Still, 11.5 is a lot of margin in a rivalry where the last meeting was decided by four, against an offense averaging 39.6 points. I give Florida a better chance to cover than the 49¢ price implies.

Rivalry Pick #2: Over 57.5

  • Pick: Florida vs Georgia Over 57.5 (Buy Yes at 49¢ on Polymarket)

My Florida vs Georgia Over prediction starts with how these offenses finish drives. Georgia has turned 28 of 34 red zone trips into touchdowns, while Florida has scored on 31 of 33 visits with 25 touchdowns. Both teams finish possessions instead of wasting them.

The counterpoint is Georgia’s defense, which allows only 15.9 points per game. But Florida’s defense gives up 28.3 points and 375.7 yards per game, and Georgia averages 43.0. If the Bulldogs get close to their scoring average, Florida does not need a huge day for this one to go Over.

In the Florida vs Georgia matchup, these offenses are closer than an 11.5-point spread suggests, with similar rushing output, red zone finishing and turnover margins. The real gap is on defense: Georgia allows 12.4 fewer points and 99.3 fewer yards per game than Florida. That defensive advantage makes Georgia the likely winner, but Florida’s scoring production gives the Gators a path to stay inside the spread.
