The Vegas Golden Knights head east to take on the Boston Bruins on Monday night. Puck drop is set for 7 pm ET from TD Garden.
Prediction markets have this one priced close to a coin flip, and both teams have a path to two points. Boston has been the steadier club over its last 10 games, while Vegas brings one of the better power plays in the league.
My Golden Knights vs Bruins prediction is below, along with two shot props I’m watching and the latest odds.
Golden Knights vs Bruins Prediction
- Pick: Bruins moneyline
I’m backing Boston on home ice for my Golden Knights vs Bruins prediction. The Bruins are 10-4-1 and have gone 7-2-1 over their last 10 games. Vegas sits at 9-5-1, with a 5-4-1 mark in its last 10.
The biggest gap between these teams shows up in their own end. Boston allows 2.40 goals per game, compared to 2.93 for Vegas. The Bruins also score a bit more, at 3.67 goals per game to 3.47 for the Golden Knights.
That works out to a goal differential of about +1.27 per game for Boston and +0.54 for Vegas. It’s a meaningful edge for a team priced at even money.
Special teams give Vegas its best counter. The Golden Knights run the NHL’s seventh-ranked power play at 27.3%, while Boston’s sits 20th at 19.6%. But the Vegas penalty kill ranks 26th at 69.4%, while Boston kills penalties at a 76.9% clip.
I’ll side with the team that keeps the puck out of its net more often. Each Kalshi contract pays $1 if it settles Yes, so a 50¢ position on Boston returns $1, roughly a 50% implied chance. Check the starting-goalie announcements before puck drop.
Golden Knights vs Bruins Picks
Neither BetMGM nor theScore Bet had player prop markets posted for this game at the time of writing. That makes these two Golden Knights vs Bruins picks watchlist targets only, with no price attached.
- Watchlist: David Pastrnak Over 2.5 shots on goal (-220, BetMGM)
I’m starting with Pastrnak on the Boston side. Vegas has struggled to kill penalties, sitting 26th in the NHL at 69.4%.
If the Bruins draw a few calls, that’s extra time with the puck for Boston’s attack. I’ll revisit this one once a shots line opens and see if the price is worth it.
- Watchlist: Jack Eichel Over 2.5 shots on goal (-155, BetMGM)
Eichel is my Vegas target. The Golden Knights average 3.47 goals per game and convert 27.3% of their power plays.
Boston’s penalty kill is better than Vegas’, but it’s not airtight at 76.9%. Eichel’s shot total is the last one I’ll check to wrap up my Golden Knights vs Bruins picks, but only if the number is reasonable when markets go up.
Golden Knights vs Bruins Odds
Prices as of Nov. 1 via Kalshi.
The latest Golden Knights vs Bruins odds have this game as essentially a coin flip. Boston is 50¢ and Vegas is 51¢, so both sides land right around a 50% implied chance.
If you want more upside on the Bruins, a position on Boston winning by more than 1.5 goals costs 29¢, about a 29% implied chance. The total at 6.5 leans slightly toward the Under, which trades at 55¢ compared to 46¢ for the Over.
