Chris Sheridan has been a Sports Journalist since covering a Bucks-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in 1991. He covered baseball, basketball, golf, and hockey at the AP, along with the 1996 Atlanta, 2000 Sydney, 2004 Athens Olympics. He also spent 6 years at ESPN as Lead NBA Writer, covering the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 5 years publishing sheridanhoops.com. He has been covering sports gambling since shortly after PASPA was overturned May 14, 2018. Sheridan is the author of the upcoming book, Fundamentals of Basketball (Red Line Editorial). He played hoops at Fordham Preparatory School before attending Marquette University and graduating in 1987 with a Journalism degree, and he fashions himself a pretty decent bowler...although not as good as his oldest son, John, who qualified for the New York State Finals as a high school junior in 2016. Aside from the AP, ESPN and Sheridan Hoops, he has also written for Forbes, the New York Daily News, NJ.com, Forbes.com, GetMoreSports.com and basketballnews.com. He lives in surburban New York with his sons, John and William.
