2024 Final Four Odds

Sports Betting Dime

With the tournament now advancing to the Final Four, the Final Four odds are no longer a “futures market” for the sportsbooks. So, if you want to see the current Final Four odds, check out our college basketball odds. The moneyline, spread, and total are available for both matchups: Alabama vs UConn and NC State vs Purdue.

Below are the best Final Four moneyline odds you can find for all four teams as of Sunday (March 31) night:

  • Best Alabama odds: +550 at BetMGM ($20 bet would win $110 and return $130)
  • Best UConn odds: -700 at Caesars ($20 bet would win $2.86 and return $22.86)
  • Best NC State odds: +360 at ESPN Bet ($20 bet would win $72 and return $92)
  • Best Purdue odds: -430 at Caesars ($20 bet would win $4.65 and return $24.65)

Using those odds above, and removing the vig, here is each team’s probability to win their Final Four game

  • Alabama’s probability to beat UConn: 15%
  • UConn’s probability to beat Alabama: 85%
  • NC State’s probability to beat Purdue: 21%
  • Purdue’s probability to beat NC State: 79%

After the March Madness bracket was revealed, we found out UConn, Houston, Purdue, and North Carolina would enter the NCAA Men’s Tournament as the #1 seeds in their respective regions. All but UNC were the favorites to win their regions and make the Final Four – Arizona, who is the #2 seed in the West, was given better odds than North Carolina. But we have seen both of those teams eliminated in the Sweet 16 and Alabama has now taken over as the favorite to win the West Region – they did win the region and advance to the Final Four.

UConn was given the best odds to make the Final Four. Among the #1 seeds, North Carolina was given the worst odds to make the Final Four.

As we entered the tournament, here were some of the biggest differences we saw between March Madness seeding and the odds to make the Final Four: Kansas got the #4 seed in the Midwest Region, but had the fifth-best odds to make the Final Four at a distant +1300; Auburn, the #4 seed in the East was given the second-best odds to win the region, pushing Iowa State and Illinois down the board; Duke, also the #4 seed in their region, was given the second-best odds to win the South, topping Marquette and Kentucky.

Odds to make the Final Four are updated every 15-60 minutes from top sportsbooks like FanDuel & DraftKings Sportsbook.

Timeline of Final Four Odds Updates:

  • Mar. 31: With all Elite 8 games now finished, the Final Four of the March Madness bracket consists of UConn, Alabama, NC State, and Purdue. Alabama will take on UConn and NC State matches up with Purdue. The winners will advance to the National Championship.
  • Mar. 30: The South Region saw its top seed fall in the Sweet 16 as well, as Duke knocked off Houston. The Blue Devils are now the favorites to win the region over North Carolina State.
  • Mar. 29: The West Region saw the top two contenders lose in the Sweet 16, as Clemson upset Arizona and Alabama upset UNC. Alabama is favored to beat Clemson and advance to the Final Four.
  • Mar. 25: The second round of the tournament saw basically all favorites win, meaning we just saw the top contenders’ odds all get a little better. The one exception was Baylor, who had the third-best odds to win the West Region, losing to Clemson.
  • Mar. 23: After the Round of 64, the same four teams (UConn, Houston, Purdue, and Arizona) remain the favorites to win their respective regions and make the Final Four.
  • Mar. 17: UConn, Houston, Purdue and Arizona are the favorites to reach the Final Four after the bracket reveal.
  • Dec. 18: Reigning-champion UConn now has the shortest odds to reach the Final Four (+320 on average).
  • Nov. 14, 2023: Arizona has improved from +625 to +500 in the Final Four odds after a strong start, which includes beating Duke in Durham.
  • Oct. 30, 2023: Kansas (+345) has opened with the shortest price in the 2024 Final Four odds with Duke (+355) a close second-favorite and Purdue (+365) rounding out the top three.

As of the afternoon of March 30, these are the best odds you can find for either Duke or North Carolina State to win the West Region and advance to the Final Four:

  • Best NC State odds: +235 at Caesars
  • Best Duke odds: -263 at DraftKings

The top-seeded Houston Cougars were favored to win the South Region of the March Madness bracket prior to being upset in the Sweet 16. Duke, the team who beat Houston, is now favored as they take on North Carolina State in the regional finals / Elite 8.

Duke and Florida were receiving better odds than their seeding before the tournament tipped off, but Florida is now gone. Marquette had the second-best odds as the #2 seed, but they were also sent home early by North Carolina State in the Sweet 16.

Here are the best odds for UConn and Illinois to win the East Region and advance to the Final Four:

  • Best Illinois odds: +360 at Caesars
  • Best UConn odds: -435 at FanDuel

UConn, who is not only the #1 seed in the East Region but also the tournament’s #1 overall seed, is the favorite to win the East Region and make the Final Four.

Auburn, who was the #4 seed in the East, had the second-best odds over #2 Iowa State and #3 Illinois. However, they were sent home in the first round. Illinois is the only team standing in UConn’s way of the Final Four.

These are the best odds to make the Final Four you can find for Purdue and Tennessee, as of the afternoon of March 30:

  • Best Tennessee odds: +145 at bet365
  • Best Purdue odds: -161 at BetMGM

The #1 seed in the Midwest, Purdue, is favored to come out of the region and make the Final Four.

While two other regions see their #4 seeds receiving the second-best odds to make the Final Four, sportsbooks were not believing in the Midwest’s #4 seed Kansas. The Jayhawks had the sixth-best odds to win the region ahead of tournament tip-off, as #5 Gonzaga and #7 Texas were given better odds to come out of the region. Kansas slid ahead of Texas for the fifth-best odds after the Round of 64, but it was Tennessee who has advanced to the Elite 8 to take on Purdue.

As of the afternoon of March 30, these are the best odds you can find for Clemson/Alabama to make the Final Four:

  • Best Clemson odds: +145 at BetMGM
  • Best Alabama odds: -161 at FanDuel

The West Region of the NCAA Men’s Tournament is the only one where the #1 seed was not the favorite to make the Final Four. North Carolina, who got the #1 seed in the West, had the second-best odds behind #2 Arizona. The West also saw its #9 seed, Michigan State, getting the sixth-best odds followed by #11 New Mexico with the seventh-best before the tournament started. Clemson, the #6 seed, and Dayton, #7 seed, only had the ninth and tenth-best odds, respectively.

This is the region that has gotten pretty whacky, though, as Alabama will take on Clemson in the regional final for the right to advance to the Final Four. Alabama is the favorite.
