The Edmonton Elks have worked their way back to the CFL Western Final for the first time in over 10 years with a team that is loaded up with great talent.
But before they can start planning any Grey Cup parades on Jasper Avenue, the Elks will need to get through the BC Lions and a quarterback that has given them headaches every time they’ve faced him.

Elks vs Lions Moneyline Odds Close Heading Into CFL Western Final
The Edmonton Elks are only one game away from reaching their first Grey Cup championship game appearance since 2015, but the moneyline odds at BetMGM have today’s CFL Western Final as a virtual toss-up.
In fact, the BC Lions are actually very slight favourites to win at -125 odds. That, in large part, can likely be attributed to the presence of Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke, who is a perfect 7-0 against the Elks. Even though the Elks will have home field advantage, with only one regular season loss to show for it, Rourke was not on the field against Edmonton when the Lions lost to them earlier this year.
With that in mind, the Elks roster hasn’t looked this strong in years with the likes of quarterback Cody Fajardo, wider receiver Austin Mack, running back Justin Rankin, defensive lineman Malik Carney, and cornerback Tyrell Ford all serving as threats against the Lions.
This game could prove to be extremely close and competitive with both teams fired up to win their first Grey Cups in quite a while.
