The Ontario sports betting market is heating up and an increasing number of online sportsbook operators and service providers are entering the scene.
The latest to join the service provider pack is Kambi Group PLC. Headquartered in Malta, the company provides sports betting services to a number of big name brands, including the likes of Penn National Gaming and Rush Street Interactive. They’ve helped brands build memorable sports betting experiences through their technology that includes an in-house software platform.

Kambi Group Nabs Regulatory Approval for April 4
With regulatory approval from the AGCO and a launch date of April 4, 2022, Kambi Group PLC is one of the very first providers to get a green light to set up shop in the new legalized Canadian online sports betting market opens.
The approval gives Kambi the ability to offer its sportsbook technology and services to operating partners in the Canadian sports betting market when it launches on April 4.

Kambi Approval Opens Door for NorthStar Gaming Debut
Back in February, Kambi struck a deal with NorthStar Gaming Inc., which recently announced its new NorthStar Bets brand would be joining the legal online Ontario sports betting market come April 4.
NorthStar Gaming plans to take full advantage of Kambi’s experience building great sports betting experience for users when launching their own sportsbook in Ontario.
“Kambi’s data-driven sportsbook and flexible technology, along with our proprietary UX approach, will give us access to the market’s most innovative and differentiated sportsbook experience,” said Michael Moskowitz, Chief Executive Officer and a Founding Partner of NorthStar Gaming.
Since this will be NorthStar Gaming’s very first foray into online sports betting as a sportsbook, the partnership with Kambi will be critical in ensuring their success in the Ontario sports betting market.

Kambi’s regulatory approval signals the beginning of the first wave of online Canadian sportsbooks that will likely be in operation on or around the April 4 legal market launch date.
