This main event between Mike Perry and Luke Rockhold stands out as one of the more headline-grabbing, curiosity-capturing bouts BKFC has ever booked.

Oddsmakers have instilled Mikey Perry as the -190 favorite over Luke Rockhold, meaning the American mixed martial artist has 66% implied win probability.

Luke Rockhold’s Betting Analysis at BKFC 41

Rockhold is a former UFC and Strikeforce middleweight champion looking to cross over into a new combat sport here.

His previous UFC fight in August of last year versus Paulo Costa showed a tremendous level of grit and tenacity. Rockhold aims to showcase that once again in a sport that demands those characteristics out of you.

The transition into bare-knuckle fighting was not necessarily the first option many fans and pundits saw for Rockhold but he seems laser-focused heading into this new arena, ready to knuckle up and toe the line.

Mike Perry’s BKFC Path

Perry is currently 2-0 within BKFC and the former UFC fighter has asserted himself as the face of this promotion to many observers.

As of this writing, Perry is the number three ranked middleweight fighter within BKFC and is stepping up a weight category for this one.

The size advantage is definitely in Rockhold’s favor as he has historically competed at 185 and 205 pounds while Perry has more often than not been at 170 or 175 pounds.

Perry is stepping up to Rockhold territory for this one and has agreed upon 185 pounds as the fight weight.

Southpaw Stance Orthodox

In the end, I lean a bit more toward Mike Perry. His localized experience within this sport coupled with Rockhold not necessarily having the deepest track record of having savvy hands leads me to perceive this.

I think a decision win is more likely in this fight for ‘Platinum’ at BKFC 41.

Pick: Mike Perry (-190)

Chad Mendes vs Eddie Alvarez

Mendes is 1-0 in BKFC and enters the ring for what could possibly be his last competitive effort in combat sports. The former multi-time UFC featherweight title challenger looks to, possibly, go out with a bang in this combustible fantasy matchup come to life.

Alvarez previously held lightweight world titles with Bellator MMA and UFC. ‘The Underground King’ is tapping back into those underground roots of street fighting in Kensington with him describing this as the first time he’s getting paid to hit someone with an exposed fist.

For this co-main event, I think Alvarez will be able to get it done. Despite being a BKFC debutant, I think his track record speaks for itself in terms of transferable attributes heading into his first-ever bare-knuckle boxing foray.

Pick: Eddie Alvarez (+120)

Other Pick for BKFC 41:

  1. Christine Ferea vs Bec Rawlings: Ferea is aiming to make the sophomore defense of her flyweight title here as she takes on the former Police Gazette and WBF Latin American champion, Rawlings. ‘Misfit’ is a destructive force and Ferea has firmly affixed herself as the number one pound-for-pound women’s bare-knuckle boxer on the planet today. I see her reasserting that this weekend and retaining her title. Pick:  Christine Ferea (-475)
