This main event is not only one of the most well-matched BKFC fights you can put on but there is a lot of bad blood heading into things as well.

Lorenzo Hunt’s Betting Analysis at BKFC KnuckleMania 3

Hunt enters this bout as the BKFC light heavyweight champion and BKFC cruiserweight champion. He looks to cement himself as the undisputed king at 185 pounds in bare-knuckle boxing when he clashes with the interim light heavyweight champion in a few days’ time.

He is the number two pound-for-pound ranked fighter in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Also, Hunt is riding a seven-fight winning streak into Friday night after sustaining his lone BKFC loss.

Hunt is even eyeballing the heavyweight title down the line as he has aspirations to become BKFC’s first-ever three-division champion.

To do so, he must put the first ever blemish on the bare-knuckle boxing record of ‘The Marine’.

Mike Richman’s Path to the Title Unification

Richman is an undefeated bare-knuckle boxer and the interim titleholder has a one hundred percent finishing rate in the sport.

The former bantamweight competitor with Bellator MMA now has a chance to cement himself as a world champion in a weight category fifty pounds higher.

Though both are on killer streaks and are demonstrable finishers, the lineal champion does have clear-size advantages.

Hunt has over half a foot in reach on Richman and is three inches taller. That being said, Richman has always been the smaller opponent in there but this is a different caliber of a combatant.

Ultimately, I think this will be a competitive enough fight but I favor the two-division champion.

I see Hunt winning and if you can find a prop bet on Hunt winning via KO or TKO, I think that would also present good value.

Pick: Lorenzo Hunt (-325)

Diego Sanchez vs Austin Trout

Sanchez is a combat sports veteran who became champion of the first season of The Ultimate Fighter and previously contended for the UFC lightweight title. He embarks on his BKFC debut here and is taking on a characteristically gigantic task.

Trout is also readying to make his bare-knuckle boxing debut but his experience in stand-up-specific combat is far deeper than Sanchez’s. He went the distance with Canelo Alvarez and is a former WBA light middleweight world champion.

For this co-main event, the in-fighting component does become intriguing which is an area Sanchez would have a big edge in. That being said, the fight will more than likely progress towards more fighting at range which is more in Trout’s wheelhouse.

I see this being a bad night for Sanchez and I foresee Trout garnering the victory. That being said, I do think ‘The Nightmare’ will be able to go the distance and if you find a prop bet on Trout winning via decision, I see that as something with a strong value for prospective bettors.

Pick: Austin Trout (-2300)

Other Pick for BKFC KnuckleMania 3:

  1. Jarod Grant vs John Dodson: This is a high-stakes flyweight clash and serves as the feature fight of the night. This is Dodson’s sophomore effort in BKFC and Grant is a former interim bantamweight champ dropping down in weight. In the end, I favor Grant’s localized experience here. Pick: Jarod Grant (+375)
