Alas after public negotiations and tattoo bets fell by the wayside, we are now trending towards a Paul vs Fury fight.

Opening Boxing Odds List Paul as Underdog

Jake Paul has put together a seventy-five percent finishing rate so far. But this upcoming bout will mark the first time The Problem Child tests skills against a boxer who isn’t a neophyte.

This is a contest pitting two undefeated boxers against one another. Paul sits at 4-0 while Fury has amassed a 7-0 record with four wins by way of stoppage.

Someone’s 0 could potentially go (pending a draw), and a lot is on the line in Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury.

Fury is favored leading into this throwdown, but it is a close one. Paul has had a lot of domestic exposure to fans in performances that lend themselves a bit better for a highlight reel. Paul has been favored in most of his bouts to date, so this will be a different role for him as BetMGM lists him as the +150 betting underdog in the Paul vs Fury odds.

Conversely, Fury is a bit less known on a domestic level having only had his US debut in his last outing. Many also felt Fury’s previous prizefight was underwhelming.

Tommy Fury Favored in Boxing Odds

Tommy Fury is the younger half-brother of reigning WBC and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

He last competed on that aforementioned Paul vs Woodley Showtime card. Fury bested Paul’s regular training partner, Anthony Taylor over the distance.

The career light heavyweight is at a bit of a size disadvantage here as he tests skills with the cruiserweight Paul.

Though he gained a level of notoriety on the reality show Love Island, Fury is a lifelong pugilist. This will be a true test for the social media influencer turned scrapper as he tests himself against a lifelong practitioner of the sweet science.

As far as if the line for this contest is on point, I would say so. I do favor the Englishman in the Paul vs Fury odds, but I can understand the desire to go with Paul just because he seems to regularly defy certain pundits.

In terms of Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury odds movement closer to the fight, I think a certain level of money will come in on Paul. The betting public loves a KO, and while his last fight was his first to go the distance, Paul has generally been known to generate knockouts.

Ultimately, I think the line will resemble a fifty-fifty, pick ’em fight the week of the event. As we encroach closer to the end of the year and Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury by proxy.
