Tyson Fury’s Betting Outlook vs Ngannou

Tyson Fury is a British professional boxer who has held the WBC heavyweight title since defeating Deontay Wilder in February 2020. He has an impressive record of 31 wins (22 by knockout), 0 losses, and one draw.

Tyson Fury’s experience and boxing skills are his main strengths. He has an excellent jab, good footwork, and the ability to switch stances, which can confuse his opponents. His size and reach advantage also allow him to keep his opponents at a distance.

Fury’s most recent victory was against Derek Chisora in a trilogy bout staged on December 3, 2022, where he defeated his fellow countryman via TKO.

To win, Fury will likely aim to control the pace of the fight, use his jab to keep Ngannou at bay, and avoid Ngannou’s powerful punches.

Francis Ngannou’s Betting Outlook vs Fury

Francis Ngannou is a Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist who has held the UFC heavyweight title twice. He has a record of 17 wins (14 by knockout), 3 losses, and 0 draws.

While Ngannou is well-experienced in MMA, he will be making his professional boxing debut Saturday. Ngannou last graced the octagon nearly two years ago, with his last victory over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January 2022.

Francis Ngannou’s main strength is his devastating punching power. He has the ability to end the fight with a single punch. However, his lack of professional boxing experience could be a disadvantage, hence the lopsided boxing odds for Saturday.

To win, Ngannou will likely aim to land a powerful punch on Fury. He will need to close the distance, avoid Fury’s jab, and try to land a powerful punch.

Fury vs Ngannou Prediction

Fury is a legend in the boxing space and has a significant advantage in both experience and technique over Ngannou. While the MMA star is a powerhouse with one-punch knockout potential, Fury has impressive defensive skills and the ability to recover from knockdowns, as seen in his fight against Wilder.

We’ve learned by watching boxing fights with MMA stars transitioning into the sport, that it’s rarely worth throwing down money on the underdog. There’s a little bit of intrigue in this scenario, with Ngannou possessing devastating one-punch power, but Fury’s record and skills speak for itself.

A reason we aren’t too worried about Ngannou’s punching power is that Fury is experienced in fighting power punchers, such as Wilder. “The Bronze Bomber”, who is considered a better boxer than Ngannou, caught Fury a few times yet couldn’t win.

We expect Fury to use his jab effectively and clinch frequently to drain Ngannou’s energy.  Look for the “The Gypsy King” to rely on his elite footwork to maintain distance and avoid Ngannou’s power before securing a TKO around the seventh round.
