  • College GameDay heads to Provo for Notre Dame and BYU, both unbeaten
  • See kickoff times, TV channels and odds for my 10 best Week 7 college football games

Picking the best Week 7 college football games to watch is mostly a scheduling headache. Five ranked matchups, two of them in the same 7:30 window, plus a noon slot with three games I want on at once.

Last weekend flipped the poll upside down. Texas lost to Oklahoma, Alabama lost to Georgia, Kentucky knocked off LSU in overtime, and Indiana is still perfect.

Here’s the TV schedule for all 10, then my ranking.

1. Ohio State at Indiana

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | Noon ET | FOX

The last two national champions, both in the top five, at noon in Bloomington. This is the game of the week and it isn’t close.

Indiana is 6-0 after surviving Nebraska 20-17, with Josh Hoover throwing for 263 yards and Nick Marsh piling up 187 receiving yards. Hoover is at 1,364 yards and 17 touchdowns with no interceptions, and the Hoosiers are scoring 40.2 points while allowing 11.8 with 20 sacks.

Ohio State is 5-1 and handled Maryland 45-16, gaining 449 yards and giving up 146. The Ohio State vs Indiana line of 3.5 says the Buckeyes are the slightly better team, but not by much on the road.

2. Notre Dame at BYU

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | 7:30 pm ET | ABC

Two unbeaten top-10 teams in Provo with College GameDay on campus. BYU is 5-0 after beating Iowa State 24-10, and Notre Dame is 6-0 coming off a 58-7 win over Stanford.

The Notre Dame vs BYU number is the oddity here. The Irish are laying 10.5 as the road team, and the 46.5 total is among the lowest on this list. LaVell Edwards Stadium at night with GameDay in town is worth watching regardless of the spread.

3. Missouri at Ole Miss

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | 3:30 pm ET | SEC Network

Missouri’s defense has turned into the story of the SEC. The Tigers beat Texas A&M 27-6 and held the Aggies to 216 yards, 10 first downs and zero offensive touchdowns.

Jamal Roberts carried 34 times for a career-high 222 yards in that one, his second straight game over 200. Ole Miss answered with a 52-17 win at Vanderbilt.

Missouri vs Ole Miss pairs a 5.5-point spread with a 58.5 total, which is a lot of expected points for a game involving a Missouri defense that just kept Texas A&M out of the end zone.

4. Alabama at Tennessee

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | 3:30 pm ET | ABC

The Third Saturday in October, both teams 5-1, both a game back of Georgia in the loss column. Neyland should be loud from the first snap.

Alabama lost 20-17 to Georgia after entering the fourth quarter tied, getting shut out over the final 15 minutes. Keelon Russell went 16 of 30 for 185 yards and took four sacks, though the Tide did run for 161 yards.

Tennessee trailed Arkansas 14-10 going to the fourth and scored 14 in the period to win 24-17. Eight and a half points feels steep for the Alabama vs Tennessee matchup given how both teams got here.

5. Oklahoma State at Houston

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | 7:30 pm ET | FOX

Houston is 5-1 and hosting its first top-25 showdown at home since 2015. That’s a long wait, and TDECU should be rowdy for it.

The Cougars beat Kansas State 35-16, outgaining them 475-299 with 233 rushing yards and 34:49 of possession. Conner Weigman threw for 242 in that one.

Oklahoma State comes in at 4-1. The 62.5 total on Oklahoma State vs Houston is the highest among my 10 featured games by a wide margin, with the Cougars laying 4.5 at home.

6. Florida at Texas

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | Noon ET | ABC

Two teams limping out of rivalry week. Texas lost 27-24 to Oklahoma and fell from No. 1 all the way to seventh, while Florida dropped 38-19 to South Carolina despite gaining 387 yards.

The Gators turned it over three times and gave up four passing touchdowns in that loss, and at 4-2 they are running out of margin. Texas is laying 11 with a 51.5 total in the Florida vs Texas odds, a hefty number for a team coming off a loss of its own.

7. Mississippi State at LSU

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | Noon ET | ESPN

LSU comes home at 4-2 after losing 35-34 in overtime at Kentucky. Sam Leavitt went 25 of 34 for 275 yards in that one, and Dilin Jones had 56 rushing and 84 receiving.

Mississippi State was off last week and has had two full weeks to stew over a 56-23 loss to Alabama. The Bulldogs threw for 284 yards in that game but managed just 18 on the ground, with Kamario Taylor accounting for 258 and three scores.

Mississippi State vs LSU gives the Bulldogs two weeks of prep against a team that just lost in overtime, and the Tigers are still favored by 14.5 at home.

8. Kentucky at Oklahoma

  • Saturday, Oct. 17 | 7:30 pm ET | SEC Network

Kentucky is the best story in the sport right now. The Wildcats are 5-1 after beating LSU 35-34 in overtime, winning on a two-point conversion for the second straight overtime game.

Kenny Minchey threw for 246 yards and CJ Baxter ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns; his opening drive included a 77-yard burst. Oklahoma is 3-2 and just took down the No. 1 team.

The Kentucky vs Oklahoma spread sits at a touchdown with a 43.5 total, the lowest among these 10, so expect a grind in Norman. If you follow games through event contracts instead of spreads, our rundown of prediction market apps explains how those work.

9. Washington at Purdue

  • Friday, Oct. 16 | 8 pm ET | FOX

Both teams are 3-3, but they got there very differently. Purdue is 2-1 in the Big Ten and riding two straight conference wins, while Washington is 0-3 in league play.

This is Washington’s second straight Friday game, which is a brutal scheduling draw. Purdue is home on a short week and favored by 3.5 in the Washington vs Purdue odds, with a 52.5 total.

10. Memphis at Tulane

  • Friday, Oct. 16 | 7:30 pm ET | ESPN

The weekend starts with Memphis vs Tulane. The Tigers are 5-1 with a three-game winning streak, most recently a 38-13 win over UAB, and they are 2-0 in the American.

Marcus Stokes has thrown for 1,535 yards, Jaylin Carter has 645 on the ground and Hunter Tipton leads the receivers with 367. Tulane is 2-3 and sits a game back in the conference.

Memphis is laying a touchdown on the road with a 55.5 total. Check the rest of the college football odds before Friday night, because these numbers will move.
