Normally we’d dismiss a silly twitter feud and not give it any thought, but with sportsbooks offering odds and both guys constantly bickering on twitter, this one might actually happen. Here’s some background on the story, why the fight could happen and where you should have your money for what could be the most entertaining fights of the year.
I have never been more insulted in my life. These odds are an outrage. https://t.co/t7ZhGK4EF0

What’s Going on Between Dave Portnoy and Clay Travis?
Dave Portnoy is the President and creator of Barstool Sports, while Clay Travis is the founder of Outkick the Coverage. With both competing for similar viewers online, it’s not a shock they’ve become quite competitive but this rivalry has gone to another level.
There are rumors that at one point Barstool wanted to buy OKTC and that could be part of the reason for the beef, but really these guys are looking for any opportunity to take a run at each other.
Most recently, both have been airing Game of Thrones podcasts and again, with competition over viewers comes the nastiness you’ll see all over both their twitter accounts.
I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about now. Friends? Are you 12? I have 14 jobs and make an incredible living doing what I love. Years ago you reached out and tried to hire me. Fox gave me more money back then. https://t.co/tLuK9BQc6q

Portnoy and Barstool Sports do put on small time boxing pay-per-views with Rough N’ Rowdy and that’s what Travis is referencing. Unlike most other celebrity beefs, it’s actually possible these guys get into a ring one day. The long line of twitter trash talk is drumming up a lot of interest from viewers of both sites.
So you’re a pussy who admits to a child-like obsession with me and runs when challenged? Thanks for confirming it. Offer stands. Now go try and sign @BarstoolBigCat & @PFTCommenter to another way under market extension to avoid your company collapsing when they leave. Good luck. https://t.co/Ei7kKtbSgg

Who Should You Bet On?
This one is actually worth a wager. With the back-and-forth as strong as it’s been, I like the chances that they actually do square off. Hell, they are even checking the odds and commenting on them so a fight is on their minds too. If they do step into the ring, I’m going to side with Barstrool President Dave Portnoy.

Maybe it’s just his trash talk game being stronger, but he seems like the angrier of the two and that’s always a good thing in a fight.
Cross your fingers this fight gets made and get ready for something that’s even more exciting than the real fights the boxing world has to offer at the moment.
Pick: Dave Portnoy (-220)
