  • Bagel Boss vs Dykstra goes September 7th
  • Will the diminutive angry man defeat Dykstra?
  • Can the former baseball all-star beat the Bagel Boss?

Bagel Boss vs Lenny Dykstra is purportedly going down in Atlantic City in early September. On one side of the proverbial ring, we have a man who blew up from a viral rant where he decried women ignoring him for being short and was body-slammed in a bagel shop during the tirade.

His opponent is a former MLB All-Star who has been going through some legal troubles in his post-baseball endeavors. It’s truly a celebrity boxing match that no one saw coming and no one asked for. It’s a strange microcosm of 2019 culture and I have your full breakdown below.

Bagel Boss vs Dykstra Odds

Fighter Odds
Chris “Bagel Boss” Morgan +300
Lenny Dykstra -500

*Odds taken 08/13/19

Bagel Boss vs Dykstra is being set up through celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman. Morgan initially announced the signing with the outfit but did not have an opponent right away. Bagel Boss has been on a regimented, egg heavy diet to bulk up for his fight with a larger adversary.

Morgan sees himself having the advantage in terms of being the younger faster guy. Bagel Boss isn’t intimidated by the World Series rings and athletic accolades of Dykstra.

Dykstra toasts the Bagel Boss

This is a strange boxing bout that’s of a quality I’m not used to covering. Through a similar analytical lens though, Bagel Boss vs Dykstra is a strange one to look at from a tale of the tape. Dykstra is around a foot taller and would likely have a pronounced reach advantage. In a boxing match, Dykstra could easily piece up Morgan from a distance. Some clips have popped up of Bagel Boss doing MMA training but I’m not sure it’s enough to close the competitive gap.

I imagine the odds will change dramatically heading into this fight. As it dawns on oddsmakers that this is an actual event that will happen, I see Dykstra becoming an even heavier favorite. To favor a diminutive random man who’s 0-1 in bagel shop bouts is utterly ridiculous.

Bagel Boss vs Dykstra goes at Showboat Hotel and the guest ref is Bam Margera. Bam has had some very public issues to the point where he’s looking for Dr Phil’s intervention. If Bam refs this fight, I don’t see him getting hit.

Does Bam Margera get punched in the fight?

Fighter Odds
Yes +1500
No -3000

Bagel Boss vs Dykstra is set for three, 90 second rounds.  But will it actually happen is the question I have before placing a bet. I see an eventual celebrity boxing match happening for Bagel Boss against someone closer to his ilk, like Beetlejuice of Howard Stern show fame. If the Dykstra fight does go down, I’ve got the old baseball player all day.

Pick: Dykstra (-500)
