After being a part of our homes for over four decades, Pat Sajak, the longtime host of Wheel of Fortune, has decided to call it a career in 2024. Filling the void will leave a gaping hole, as he’s synonymous with the long standing program.

With him eventually setting the stage for a new host, speculation has been running rampant on who exactly will take over for the long-time veteran. One of those names is very familiar with fans of the show in Vanna White. She’s the third choice in the betting odds, however, as Ryan Seacrest currently is the top candidate in the eyes of oddsmakers.

There are three very clear frontrunners to get the keys to the car when Sajak retires. Ryan Seacrest, the original host of ‘American Idol’ is the top choice, and he’s followed by LeVar Burton, who many had hoped would land the Jeopardy gig, and of course Vanna White, who’s been on the program since 1982.

At this stage, Ryan Seacrest is the front-runner to replace Sajak. TMZ has reported that he’s been in talks with Sony to take over as host, now that he’s no longer on “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan.”

Seacrest of course has plenty of experience hosting a plethora of shows, notably being the original lead man on American Idol. He was a friend of the late Merv Griffin, who created ‘Wheel of Fortune’ so that could be a factor in him getting the gig.

With his odds placed at the low total of +200, he’s clearly a huge favorite, but not exactly a number that should have anyone racing to place a wager on.

Other Potential Choices

LeVar Burton is the second selection, and he’s a crowd favorite and is a solid choice to succeed Sajak. Vanna White could slide in and switch roles, but after doing the same thing for the better part of four decades, the likelihood is that she stays in her current job.

Pat’s daughter Maggie could also be an intriguing name to consider. At +1200, veteran game show host Tom Bergeron seems to be priced a bit high, as he probably should be closer to the range of +600.

Next Wheel Of Fortune Host Prediction

One name that pops off the screen is that of Scott Rogowsky. He would most certainly appeal to a younger audience, after he hosted the wildly successful game show app “HQ Trivia” for a few years. He’s a name that people connect to that game, and he’s young enough that he could be in the current role as ‘Wheel’ host for a long period of time. It may not be the sexiest potential selection, but his odds are posted at +2500, which would be a strong payout.
