The unique thing about Game of Thrones compared to so many other shows is just how treasured these characters and story arcs are to fans. People tend to treat this show with the care and attention they would of their own relatives.

People take Game of Thrones‘ plot lines extremely seriously, and the writers of the show know this. So how will this come into play when we consider the fate of The North?

The unique thing about Game of Thrones compared to so many other shows is just how treasured these characters and story arcs are to fans.

As we know, geographically The North is completely massive, and as Jon Snow mentioned, “The North is by far the largest of the Seven Kingdoms; it can fit the other six inside it.”

What we know about this season is that literally anything can happen. The show is now running full steam ahead, with the plot further ahead of novelist George R.R. Martin’s books. So without these novels to predict the characters’ fates, it’s open season.

So, as a constituent region of the Seven Kingdoms, the North is currently ruled from Winterfell.

The show isn’t afraid to make big changes to its character roster or socioeconomic makeup, so it’s likely the writers will want to deliver some interesting changes to the kingdoms.

With a few more episodes to go and more blood to be shed, fans are anticipating that the North will finally see its independence. And we’re betting they’re right.
