NXT Tag Team Championship Pick

Tony D’Angelo being freed from prison thanks to a stipulation attached to a Joe Coffey vs. Channing Lorenzo match is as goofy as it gets, but there’s no denying The Family are over with the NXT audience. They’ve long been overdue for some gold and should get it by beating Gallus on this show.

It’s a close contest to call with The Family slightly favored over Gallus due to it being entirely possible that Gallus retain to keep The Family in chase mode a little longer, but The Family becoming champs in front of one of NXT’s biggest crowds in years would make for a memorable moment.

Perez vs Davenport Prediction

Roxanne Perez and Blair Davenport have been at odds for months and will finally settle their score on Sunday in a Weapons Wild match. Davenport came out on top in their first encounter, so it stands to reason that Perez will win the rematch.

If Perez is main roster bound soon, Davenport scoring two straight wins over Perez would be ideal, but if Perez is sticking around in NXT, she’s the safe pick at -250.

NXT Women’s Championship Best Bet

Thea Hail failed to beat Tiffany Stratton for the NXT Women’s Championship when they first went one-on-one last month but managed to force Stratton to submit when the referee wasn’t looking during the bout. They’ve raised the stakes this time around with it being a Submission match, but the belt must remain with Stratton for the foreseeable future.

Hail has thrived as an underdog during this feud and can absorb another loss with ease.

Steveson vs Corbin Pick

In a bout put together rather abruptly, Gable Steveson will make his in-ring debut for NXT at The Great American Bash against Baron Corbin. Although Corbin is coming off a much-needed repackaging and could use a credibility-boosting victory, this match is unquestionably Steveson’s to win.

The Olympic gold medalist could go far in WWE if he stays the course and beating Corbin would get him off to a solid start, making him the heavy favorite in the odds at -1900.

NXT North American Championship Prediction

Dominik Mysterio stealing the NXT North American Championship was a pleasant surprise for viewers and has resulted in the title being defended across Raw and SmackDown. Seeing as how it’s also led to increased exposure for the brand, cutting that short any time soon would be a mistake.

Wes Lee taking back the belt by pinning Mustafa Ali in this Triple Threat would be logical, which is why he doesn’t trail too far behind in the odds at +250, but Mysterio’s reign should be just getting underway.

NXT Championship Best Bet

Carmelo Hayes has been nothing short of a fighting champion since taking the title from Bron Breakker back in April. He has overcome every obstacle put in front of him, but Ilja Dragunov may just pose the biggest threat yet to his dominant run.

How Hayes’ tag team partner Trick Williams factor into the finish (if at all) could determine who walks out as NXT champion. Dragunov could win if Williams accidentally interferes or intentionally betrays his best friend, but Hayes retaining is the best bet at -400.
