As WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 39 will boast a super stacked card when it emanates live from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles this Saturday and Sunday, April 1st and April 2nd, 2023.

The best built bout heading into The Show of Shows has been Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, as it finally feels like The Bloodline is on the verge of collapse. The other main event is expected to be Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Ahead of the anticipated event, let’s take a look at the favorites that are expected to emerge victorious in the marquee matches at WWE WrestleMania 39, according to our own betting odds and analysis.

Hell in a Cell Match Pick

Exactly one year removed from The Judgment Day’s debut, Edge will finally sever ties with his former cohorts when he and Finn Balor settle their score inside Hell in a Cell on Night 2 of WrestleMania. Edge emerged victorious the last time they crossed paths at Elimination Chamber, so it stands to reason Balor will finish the feud on top.

Of course, Edge exorcising his (literal) demons by beating Balor would be a feel-good ending to the story,

Rey Mysterio vs Dominik Mysterio Prediction

The Mysterio family drama has been a recurring highlight on WWE TV throughout WrestleMania season and anticipation is high for their upcoming one-on-one encounter. Rey hesitated to hit his son for months despite Dominik being deserving of the beating, and now fans are ready for Rey to give him his comeuppance.

At -250, Dominik is a safe choice to come out on top. Similar to Edge vs Balor, Rey winning would provide fans with the ultimate moment of satisfaction, but Dominik eking out a victory would keep their rivalry alive for at least another month or so.

United States Championship Best Bet

John Cena returned to Raw earlier this month to verbally obliterate Austin Theory before half-heartedly accepting his challenge to a match at WrestleMania. Theory hasn’t been given much of a chance to prove he’s on Cena’s level and that should be what this match is all about.

YouTube video

On paper, Theory decisively defeating Cena to retain his United States Championship makes the most sense, hence why he’s currently favored at -300 in the odds. The fact that this match has been announced the opener for Night 1 increases Cena’s chances, but WWE must stay the course with Theory and have him reign supreme.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Pick

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn reuniting to chase The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship has been the strongest story WWE has told on the road to WrestleMania. Everyone has played their roles exceptionally well and it feels like the true main event of Night 1.

YouTube video

Predictability isn’t necessarily a bad thing in this case as the end result should be what everyone wants to see. Under no circumstance should The Usos escape with their historic reign intact, making Owens and Zayn the odds-on favorites at -900.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Prediction

Of all the major matches at ‘Mania, this one arguably has the most obvious outcome. Rhea Ripley has yet to beat Charlotte Flair when it matters most and this rematch should exist solely to right that wrong.

YouTube video

Ripley is extremely favored at -1900 and for good reason. She’s the correct choice for WWE to appoint as the new SmackDown Women’s champion right now and all signs point to that being the direction the company is headed in.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Best Bet

Roman Reigns’ run as Undisputed WWE Universal champion has never been in more jeopardy than it will be against Cody Rhodes. No one has posed more of a threat to the title than The American Nightmare, who has been at an all-time high since returning to WWE last year.

YouTube video

A Reigns win is entirely plausible, but to end WrestleMania that way three years in a row would be underwhelming, to say the least. The time for Rhodes to become champion, which is the slightly-favored outcome at -150, is now and WWE would be foolish to not go through with it on this show.
