  • Bubba Watson and Kramer Hickok co-lead the Travelers Championship after three rounds
  • 26 players are within four strokes in a congested leaderboard

Through three rounds of the Travelers Championship, three-time champion Bubba Watson and unheralded Kramer Hickok co-lead, holding a slim one stroke edge over Jason Day and Russell Henley. There are plenty of players hovering around the top within striking distance in what should be a wild final round, as it often is in Cromwell, CT.

Before the tournament began, Bryson DeChambeau and defending champion Dustin Johnson were the top-two favorites on the board to earn the victory, and they’re in the conversation, just three shots back. Watson was a +7000 underdog despite claiming the title at TPC River Highlands three times, and he has an opportunity to join Billy Casper as the only four-time winners at this tournament.

Read on to see the updated Travelers Championship odds and the best bets heading into Sunday’s final round.

Bubba Eyes Record Tying Fourth Travelers Championship

Even though Bubba Watson entered this championship having posted three straight crooked results, he has had such amazing success at TPC River Highlands that he can never be discounted at this tournament. He’s proven that to be the case, as we were all over him at extremely favorable +7000 odds entering the week.

Watson hasn’t disappointed, as he’s ranked second in strokes gained tee-to-green this week. He did, however, lose strokes to the field on the greens Saturday, as he missed three short putts on the back nine, including a five footer on 18 for birdie that would’ve given him the outright lead.

He’s made five birdies in all three rounds this week, and if he can avoid any bogeys, Watson is in the driver’s seat to get the job done again. He’s tied with Kramer Hickok, who’s never won before, meaning the mercurial lefty has the distinct mental advantage heading into Sunday as well.

The big concern that is making Watson’s win a lock is the fact that there are so many players within shouting distance who could post an early score to topple the leaders. That, and the fact he hasn’t won in three years, with this event being his latest triumph. With his prior success however, there’s no reason for us to deviate from our pre-tournament selection of Watson to earn his 13th career PGA Tour title.

2021 Travelers Championship Best Live Value Picks

  1. Russell Henley (+700): Not only were we high on Bubba this week, but Russell Henley (and Harris English) were picks we liked to click so no reason to deviate from that strategy now. Henley co-led the US Open after three rounds last weekend and is just one back entering Sunday’s final round in Connecticut. Third in strokes gained tee-to-green through three days, and second in scrambling. Henley has made just two bogeys in the tournament.
  2. Harris English (+1200): Harris English comes off a third place showing at the US Open, his best finish in a major and has contended the last two weeks. The 2021 Sentry Tournament of Champions winner is just two shots back, having gained over three shots on the field in the first and third rounds. Fifth in strokes gained tee-to-green this week.
