After Scottie Scheffler won his second career FedEx Cup title three weeks ago, the PGA Tour returns with a brand new tournament to begin the Fall Series – the Biltmore Championship Asheville. It’ll take place at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in Arden, North Carolina, which is a par-72 track. The event has failed to attract many of the top players, but is boasted by 21-year-old stud Jackson Koivun, who won the 3M Open in just his third professional start this summer.

16-time PGA Tour champion Justin Thomas initially was in this field, but he withdrew, leaving a significant void in the tournament. However, with not many star players competing, the betting board is wide open for longshots to claim the trophy. This is the final tune-up before next weeks Presidents Cup, with seven players teeing it up next week golfing here, with the two Americans being Koivun and Jacob Bridgeman.

I’m starting my card this week with Ryo Hisatsune, who has a very appealing +6150 price tag when converting Kalshi 1.6 cents to American odds. Early in 2026, he found himself with a number of chances to breakthrough on the big stage, racking up three straight top-10’s. Hisatsune cooled off a little as the season wore on, but still managed eight top-20’s on the year.

Considering the field isn’t loaded with star talent, I don’t love selecting golfers with shorter odds, but rather like going for a slightly longer shot. Hisatsune qualifies as that, with his odds longer than the top-15 players on the betting board. It’s only a matter of time before he breaks through on the main circuit, and this could very well be the time. With him headed to the Presidents Cup next week, this would be the perfect way to roll in with a W.

Biltmore Championship Asheville 2026 Picks & Value Bets

• Michael Kim +4900 at Kalshi: Michael Kim knocked on the door in his attempt to take down his second PGA Tour title in 2025, but just fell short. The popular player had three top-10’s, including a runner-up at the Valero Texas Open. He posted top-10’s at the 3M Open and Rocket Classic late July/early August, giving me solid hope that he could contend again this week.
• Seamus Power +10500 at DraftKings: I like going for upside in a watered down field, and two-time PGA Tour winner Seamus Power has that at +10500 to win outright. Last campaign, he posted six top-12’s, including twice doing so in Fall Series events. For a player that’s gotten over the finish line twice, I like the Irishman at these bloated odds.
• Tony Finau +11000 at Kalshi: You can grab Tony Finau at Kalshi at a better clip than at DraftKings, for what amounts to a wild +11000 number. I won’t sugarcoat it, Tony Finau has not been playing great golf. However, that’s why it’s time to pounce, since if his game was on the right track, the six-time champ would easily be among the favorites to win.
• Lucas Glover +15500 at DraftKings: This line is absolutely fascinating to me, and Lucas Glover is being mispriced. Just two months ago, Glover led going into the final round of back-to-back events at the John Deere and ISCO Championship, before settling for a pair of top-five finishes. While winning might be a stretch, he’ll be fascinating to monitor in the top 5/10/20 markets.
