  • Friday night college football delivers three betting spots worth your attention
  • My best bets cover spread and total markets on the Oct. 30 slate
  • Read on for the defensive pressure, ball-security and scoring trends behind each pick

Friday night brings a compact college football slate on Oct. 30, and three games stand out on the betting board. Two of them feature teams trying to steady their seasons heading into November, while a MAC matchup offers a clean angle on the total.

I’m attacking this slate through Polymarket, targeting two favorites laying points and one total. Each case leans on recent results, head-to-head history and defensive form rather than preseason reputation.

Below, I break down my Friday college football picks and predictions for Tulane vs. Charlotte, Baylor vs. UCF and Kent State vs. Sacramento State. If you want to compare prices before kickoff, check out the best College Football betting apps.

Prediction market prices work as probabilities. A 50¢ contract implies a 50% chance and pays $1 if it hits. Those are market-implied probabilities before fees, not a guarantee of the actual chance of winning. Prices are as of Oct. 29. Friday College Football Pick #1: Tulane vs. Charlotte Prediction

My Tulane vs Charlotte prediction starts with a rebound opportunity. Tulane enters Friday at 3-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play after a 42-19 loss to UTSA. The Green Wave turned the ball over six times in that game, and a giveaway total like that rarely repeats. Cleaning up ball security alone changes the picture for this offense.

History also points toward the Green Wave. Tulane shut out Charlotte 27-0 in 2025 and rolled to a 34-3 win in 2024, winning by margins well beyond this number both times.

Laying 8.5 points asks a lot from a team that has dropped four games, and another sloppy outing with the football would put the cover in jeopardy. Still, at 50¢, I like Tulane to bounce back and handle Charlotte the way it has in the last two meetings.

Friday College Football Pick #2: Baylor vs. UCF Prediction

Block(s) placed here are shown when viewing from any of the geo restricted states (configure in the controller).

Baylor continues its road swing at UCF with both teams sitting at 4-3. The college football odds make this close to a pick’em, with the Bears laying just 1.5 points.

Baylor’s defense drives my Baylor vs UCF prediction. The Bears rank third nationally in sacks, fifth in tackles for loss and 19th in scoring defense. That kind of pressure travels, and it gives Baylor a path to victory even if the offense stalls.

UCF is no pushover, averaging 32.7 points per game, so this sets up as a disruptive front against a productive offense. There is also an off-field variable, with Joe Klanderman serving as interim head coach after Dave Aranda’s dismissal. Even so, receiver Gavin Freeman and the Baylor offense only need to do enough to win by two. At 50¢, I trust the Bears’ pass rush to make the difference.

Friday College Football Pick #3: Kent State vs. Sacramento State Prediction

  • Pick: Kent State vs. Sacramento State Under 45.5 (48¢ on Polymarket)

Block(s) placed here are shown when viewing from any of the geo restricted states (configure in the controller).

My Kent State vs Sacramento State prediction hinges on the Hornets’ offense. The Hornets are 1-7 overall and 0-5 in the MAC, and they have gone six games without a rushing touchdown. Their season high against an FBS opponent is 17 points.

That puts the scoring load on Kent State, and the 3-5 Golden Flashes delivered last week in a 35-20 win over Akron. Dru DeShields threw four touchdown passes and ran for another in that game.

That performance is the main risk here. I’m betting Sacramento State’s scoring problems outweigh that one-game surge from Kent State. At 48¢, I’m backing the Under.
