College football DFS on DraftKings Classic asks for a quarterback, two running backs, three receivers, a flex and a superflex under a $50,000 cap. Saturday’s main slate covers 12 games, with the first kickoffs at noon ET on Oct. 31.
This build starts with one stack and fills out with players whose recent usage supports their price. If you’re comparing DFS apps, these salaries are specific to DraftKings.
Here’s my full Week 9 lineup, why I’m playing one quarterback and the case for all eight picks.

That leaves $1,900 on the table. I’d rather keep proven roles than spend it on a weaker second quarterback.
Salaries from the DraftKings main slate; confirm pricing and availability before lock on DraftKings.
CFB DFS Week 9 Stacks, Sleepers & Value Plays
Devon Dampier and Braden Pegan are the core stack. Cincinnati allows 284.4 passing yards per game, which ranks 135th nationally, and Pegan has six receiving touchdowns.
I’m using one quarterback. Will Hammond is the cheap starter at $5,900, but he has six touchdown passes against six interceptions and faces an Arizona defense with 23 sacks. The superflex goes to a running back with a growing role instead.
CFB DFS Picks: Devon Dampier ($8,800)
- Devon Dampier, Utah at Cincinnati
Dampier has 1,616 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes and 348 rushing yards with five scores for unbeaten Utah. He ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns against Houston.
Cincinnati allows 7.4 yards per dropback, and Utah is favored in the college football odds. Two paths to points justify the top salary in this lineup.
CFB DFS Picks: Kendrick Raphael ($7,600)
- Kendrick Raphael, SMU at Syracuse
Raphael ran 22 times for 104 yards and two scores against Cal, adding a 22-yard touchdown catch. He has 15 or more carries in five straight games.
He leads SMU with 641 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, and Syracuse allows 5.6 yards per carry. That’s bankable volume against a soft run defense.
CFB DFS Picks: Dwight Phillips Jr. ($5,200)
- Dwight Phillips Jr., Georgia vs. Florida
Phillips ran for 120 yards on 17 carries in his first career start at Alabama, then led Georgia with 68 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries against Auburn.
Chauncey Bowens is questionable with a foot injury, and Nate Frazier costs $2,300 more. Phillips averages 7.4 yards per carry this season, which makes him the cheaper way into this backfield.
CFB DFS Picks: Braden Pegan ($7,100)
- Braden Pegan, Utah at Cincinnati
Pegan has 34 catches for 459 yards and six touchdowns, including eight grabs for 86 yards and two scores at Colorado.
He caught only two passes against Houston while Dampier ran wild, but Cincinnati ranks 135th against the pass. That matchup should put the ball back in his hands.
CFB DFS Picks: Legend Glasker ($5,400)
- Legend Glasker, BYU vs. Arizona State
The freshman leads BYU with 444 receiving yards and caught four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown at UCF.
At $5,400, my CFB DFS lineup gets BYU’s season-long receiving leader without paying a premium receiver’s salary. His 28-yard touchdown on third-and-13 in overtime at UCF showed why Bachmeier looks his way when the offense needs a play.
CFB DFS Picks: Kenny Johnson ($4,900)
- Kenny Johnson, Texas Tech vs. Arizona
Johnson leads Texas Tech with 499 receiving yards and has seven catches in each of his last two games, including 120 yards against Arizona State.
Micah Hudson also started at Cincinnati but caught two passes. Johnson is the Texas Tech receiver getting the volume, and $4,900 is a value price for that role.
CFB DFS Picks: Rocky Beers ($4,200)
- Rocky Beers, Oklahoma vs. South Carolina
Beers has 30 catches for 395 yards and four touchdowns, including four grabs for 66 yards and a score at Mississippi State.
DraftKings lists the tight end as a receiver, so he fits the flex at $4,200. South Carolina allows 6.8 yards per dropback, and Beers scored seven times on 31 catches last season.
CFB DFS Picks: Makhi Frazier ($4,900)
- Makhi Frazier, Ole Miss vs. Auburn
Frazier ran 13 times for 73 yards at Vanderbilt and 15 times for 101 yards against Missouri, then added five catches to six carries at Texas.
Kewan Lacy still leads in carries, so this is a shared backfield. The receiving work gives Frazier a floor at $4,900, with Ole Miss favored at home.
