German is actually pitching rather well for the Bronx Bombers in 2023, going 3-3 with a 3.98 ERA in 10 starts. He’s struck out 53 in 54.1 innings and walked 18. His 0.98 WHIP is perhaps the most impressive part of German’s early success.

Last time out, the right-hander lasted 6.1 frames against the Seattle Mariners but did allow four earned runs on seven hits, including a home run. In one career outing versus Los Angeles, German owns a 1.50 ERA.

German vs Miller Stats

With the Dodgers dealing with numerous pitching injuries, Miller got the opportunity to come up to the Majors and make his presence felt. Needless to say, he’s done just that. The 24-year-old is 2-0 with a fantastic 1.64 ERA in his first two MLB starts, striking out nine and walking just two in 11 total innings.

Miller made his debut against a potent Braves offense and held them to one earned in five innings en route to the win before tossing another six frames on May 29th against the Nationals, giving up a mere one run. He’s never faced Aaron Judge and the Yankees.

Yankees Betting Outlook

New York is currently third in the American League East and six games behind the first-place Rays. Their offense just got a major boost as well with the returns of Josh Donaldson and Giancarlo Stanton, two key cogs in their lineup.

After this Dodgers series, the Yanks return home for a four-game series with the White Sox before the Red Sox also come to town. With a 5-5 record in their last 10 games prior to Saturday, Aaron Boone’s squad needs to find some consistency.

On the mound though, there’s been non-stop health issues. Outside of Clayton Kershaw and Tony Gonsolin, there isn’t a ton of reliability. If Miller keeps pitching this way it certainly helps and Julio Urias is also nearing a return.
