After J.T. Poston won The Memorial Tournament in a playoff over Ryan Gerard, the PGA Tour heads up north for the RBC Canadian Open. It’s the second straight year the tournament will be contested at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, where Ryan Fox won in a playoff over Sam Burns in 2025.

Burns was just in contention to win The Memorial Tournament Sunday, but wound up T-4th, two shots shy of being a part of the playoff. He’s the third favorite to win this National Open, behind Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick. It’s the final tune-up before the third major of the campaign, the U.S. Open being contested at Shinnecock Golf Club.

I’m starting my card this week with the red-hot Wyndham Clark, who began a stretch of phenomenal play with three straight top-25s at the Masters beginning in April. Following a missed cut at the PGA Championship, he then won for the fourth time in his career at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson by three strokes over Si Woo Kim.

*The RBC Canadian Open was not contested in 2020 & 2021 (COVID).

Clark then followed up that victory with a third place at The Memorial Tournament, where he finished just a shot out of a playoff. Considering you’re getting him at +2500 odds, which is longer than the top-five golfers on the board, you’re getting the 2023 U.S. Open winner at tremendous value.

RBC Canadian Open 2026 Picks & Value Bets

  1. Eric Cole +4600: There aren’t many players playing as consistently as Eric Cole is right now. He followed up a pair of back-to-back T-6’s with a runner-up two weeks ago at Colonial, then popped again at The Memorial, resulting in a eighth place finish. He hasn’t gotten over the finish line on the PGA Tour, but he’s been knocking on the door a ton the last couple of months.
  2. Nick Taylor +4900: Candian Nick Taylor ended the Canadian contingent drought of not winning this event in 2023 with a dramatic eagle. The five-time tour winner has been trending coming in, with a pair of top-15s, then was in contention at the PGA Championship before a tough back nine. He put together a solid top-15 at TPC Toronto a year ago, and definitely is a threat to win again, with the monkey off the Canadian players backs.
  3. Kevin Yu +10000: Kevin Yu, who won the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship, very nearly added to his trophy case at the RBC Canadian Open in 2025, finishing third, one shot behind. He’s a very streaky player, but five starts ago, was 7th at the Valero Texas Open, making him an intriguing flyer this week.
  4. Mackenzie Hughes +12500: Here’s a Canadian longshot worth monitoring. In his latest event, Mackenzie Hughes was T-10th, contending deep into the back nine on Sunday. He’s posted a pair of top-10s in his national open in his career, and was a solid T-27th last year at this course. The two-time PGA Tour winner will be interesting to monitor in the top 5/10/20 markets.
