The Philadelphia 76ers currently boast the fourth shortest odds to win the NBA title (+700). Given how they’ve looked in the 1st Round, that’s starting to look like a pretty attractive bet. Philly routed Washington on Saturday to take a 3-0 series lead, and can eliminate the Wizards in Game 4 on Monday (May 31st, 7:10 pm ET).

Odds as of May 30th

The 76ers are an 8-point road favorite, in a game that features a total of 229.5. Philly will enter Monday’s action with a clean bill of health, while the Wiz are hurting at the guard position.

The Washington Wounded

Russell Westbrook was legitimately questionable ahead of Game 3 with an ankle injury, but still managed to play 34 minutes at far less than 100%. The Wizards planned to get him treatment every time he left the floor, but they dug themselves such a hole that they couldn’t afford to go long stretches without him.

Despite being banged up, Westbrook still put up his 11th career playoff triple-double (26 pts, 12 reb, 10 ast). He’s listed as questionable for Game 4, but the entire basketball world would be shocked if he didn’t play.

Back-up point guard Ish Smith is also questionable with a groin injury, while Bradley Beal isn’t listed on the injury report but continues to play through a nagging hamstring injury.

Sixers Can’t Be Stopped

Philadelphia completely dominated Game 3, blowing out Washington 132-103. It was the Sixers’ largest playoff win since 2001, and they’ve now scored at least 120 points in each of the first three games of the series.

They’re only the fifth team in NBA history to do so, and two of the previous four went on to win the title. Joel Embiid set a playoff career high with 36 points, and he did so in just 28 minutes. Embiid sat out the entire 4th quarter, and is now averaging 31 points per game, while shooting 67% from the field, and 55% from beyond the arc in the series.

Tobias Harris added 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists, while Ben Simmons splashed 14 points and dished out 9 helpers. All five starters scored in double figures, and were offered little resistance from the Washington D. Philly shot 59% from the field, and 52% from three, and have now made at least half of their field-goal attempts in all three games.

Philadelphia Crushing ATS Recently

The Sixers have a +61 point differential through three games, and are averaging a league best 125.7 points per outing in the postseason. Philly’s offensive efficiency should come as no surprise, as the Wiz ranked last in scoring defense during the regular season, and have now surrendered at least 120 points in each of their past nine losses.

The Sixers on the other hand, were top-six during the regular season in both points allowed and enemy field-goal percentage, and are surrendering just 105.3 points per night to Washington through three games.

They won the last two games by an average of 27 points, and with Westbrook hurting, and Beal not 100%, it’s tough to justify not backing Philly. The 76ers have been spread crushers not only in this series, but over the last month and change, winning 10 of their past 14 ATS.

Pick: Philadelphia 76ers -8 (-112)
