It’s a Titanic matchup starting Monday, when the San Antonio Spurs visit the OKC Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

The winner will advance to the NBA Finals.

OKC has yet to lose a game in these playoffs, sweeping both Phoenix and LA, while the Spurs hit the overdrive button to turn close series into blowouts of both the Trail Blazers and Timberwolves.

The books still side with the defending champs, pegging OKC as a healthy home favorite in the NBA odds.

Tip-off is scheduled tonight at 8:30pm ET from the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, with NBC and Peacock broadcasting nationally.

Read below as I share my Spurs vs Thunder prediction, best bets and updated odds for Game 1.

Spurs vs Thunder Prediction

It’s defense vs offense again as the teams meet for a trip to the Finals, with he unstoppable force of Oklahoma City’s offense clashing with the immovable object of San Antonio’s defense.

The Spurs took four of five between these teams in the regular season, and their defense has played a monster factor, holding the Thunder to 110 points or less four of the five games.

The Thunder lead the postseason with an astronomical 124.3 Offensive Rating, fueled by a league-best 2.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. OKC is averaging an NBA-best 121.3 points per game, ranking Top 4 in both field goal and 3-point shooting in the playoffs.

They’ve done it mostly with all-star Jalen Williams in street clothes. The Thunder’s all-star sidekick to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Williams has not played since injuring his hamstring in Game 2 against Phoenix. All reports he’s a go for Game 1, but it won’t be an easy welcome back match against the Spurs.

San Antonio has established a true no-fly zone. The defense boasts a top-ranked rating (99.5) and holds opponents to an abysmal 40.5% shooting from the field. Along with that stifling defense, the team is third in scoring in the playoffs, and third in 3-point shooting defense..

The Over has failed to hit in each of the last seven San Antonio games on the road as an underdog, and the Under is a healthy 6-3-1 in the last 10 head-to-head matcups between these teams.

Spurs vs Thunder Best Bets

Spread Pick: Spurs +6.5 (-110 at DraftKings): Oklahoma City enters as heavy home-court favorites, but true value lies in backing the road dog. While the Thunder have won their last five games outright and are a sturdy 3-1-0 against the spread at home over their last four, the Spurs have been absolute road warriors. San Antonio is an impressive 4-1-0 ATS away from home over its last five games. Furthermore, the squad consistently rises to the occasion, going 4-1-0 ATS against opponents with a winning record in that span.

Best Prop Pick: Gilgeous-Alexander Over 30.5 points (-125 at DraftKings): The Thunder offense relies heavily on their superstar floor general to create in isolation. With injuries forcing a tighter rotation, he will shoulder a larger offensive load against San Antonio’s frontcourt. SGA scored a seriues-best 35 points in the clincher against the Lakers, and the fourth time he’s gone for at least 31 points in these playoffs.

Spurs vs Thunder Odds and Betting Splits

The graphic above shows the best available odds, which are subject to change. Don’t forget to use theScore Bet promo code to bet on Spurs vs Thunder Game 1.

Oklahoma City sits as a substantial home favorite, getting -235 odds at Caesars, while the Thunder are 6.5-point home favorites, getting -108 odds right now from FanDuel.

For the Spurs, an outright win pays out at +205 odds, while getting 6.5 points on the spread pays out at -110 odds at bet365.

Is total betting your thing? If so, Over bettors should go to FanDuel, where they are offering a total of 219.5 points with -108 odds going Over the total. Under bettors get an additional half-point, setting the total at 220 points.

Looking at the NBA Public Betting Trends, and OKC has nearly 80% of the bets, but San Antonio commands a robust 65% of the total stake. This deep divide is a clear indicator that respected, high-stakes bettors are hunting value with the underdog.

Bettors of all bankroll sizes appear aligned on the spread. San Antonio draws 66% of the tickets and a hefty 67% of the cash. The public recognizes the value of taking the points with a reliable road cover machine.

If you tail my Under 219.5 prediction, you are fading the public in a massive way. Bettors are heavily anticipating a shootout, pounding the Over with 94% of tickets and a staggering 96% of the money — but stepping in front of this public train could prove incredibly lucrative.
