The New York Knicks hit the hardwood this afternoon as narrow road favorites in the NBA odds against the Philadelphia 76ers in a pivotal Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. After a decisive 108-94 victory in Game 3 on Philadelphia’s home floor, the Knicks look to keep their foot on the gas. Meanwhile, the Sixers’ home-court advantage has completely fallen off a cliff, leaving them desperate to defend their building as home underdogs to avoid a 4-0 series sweep.

The action is set to tip-off at 3:30 PM ET, with the high-stakes matchup broadcast nationally on ABC live from the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

Star power will ultimately dictate the betting boards in this one. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns have been electric for New York, but they face a formidable response from Philadelphia’s elite trio of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey.

Keep reading for my predictions, expert picks and latest injuries for Knicks/76ers Game 4, below.

Injuries for Knicks/76ers Game 4

Health and availability in the NBA starting lineups will play a massive role in how the rotations shake out in Game 4. Fortunately for both sides, the injury report is relatively light, though one major piece for the road favorites is currently being monitored.

OG AnunobyPFHamstringDay To DayMissing Game 3, his absence shifts perimeter defensive responsibilities. If he remains sidelined, expect Brunson and Towns to continue absorbing elevated offensive usage.

The Sixers are entering Game 4 with a completely clean bill of health. Meanwhile, OG Anunoby is the lone name on the injury report, and is listed as a game-time decision. Anunoby sat out Game 3, but despite missing their premier perimeter defender New York’s defensive schemes held incredibly strong, limiting Philadelphia to just 94 points.

My favorite bets for Game 4 are Knicks -1.5, and under 214.5, as recent situational trends strongly support both wagers. The Knicks are 4-1 against the spread on the road over their last five games, and they boast an identical 4-1 ATS record following a win over their last five contests. Conversely, the 76ers are reeling in their own building, going just 1-3 straight up at home over their last four games. Given the narrow spread, backing New York to cover and potentially secure a commanding series lead is the smartest play on the board.

The game total is set at a modest 214.5, but all signs indicate a physical, defense-oriented slugfest. The Over has hit in just 1 of the Sixers’ last 7 games at home against top-10 scoring defenses. Similarly, the Over has cashed in only 3 of New York’s last 11 games on the road. With both teams showing clear tendencies toward lower-scoring environments in these specific situations, taking the Under provides substantial value.

Total Rebound %55.5% (1st)46.1% (14th)
Second Chance Points17.6 (3rd)11.7 (14th)

Per the playoff stats, the most glaring discrepancy lies in the rebounding department. New York has been an absolute bully on the glass, leading the playoffs with a staggering 55.5% total rebound rate and capitalizing on those extra possessions to generate 17.6 second-chance points per game. Bettors should keep a close eye on Karl-Anthony Towns to exploit this interior weakness; his rebounds prop is set at an imposing 11.5, and his presence alongside Mitchell Robinson makes the visitors incredibly difficult to keep off the boards.

These metrics also heavily support my official prediction of playing the Under. Both squads actively seek to grind the game to a halt; the Knicks rank 11th in pace (94.7 possessions), while the Sixers are the second-slowest team in the playoffs (92.3 possessions). Combine that methodical tempo with a top-ranked scoring defense (99.6 points allowed per game), and points will be difficult to come by.

This dynamic was on full display in Game 3 on Friday. After trailing early, New York flipped the script, limiting the 76ers to just 42 total points in the second half to close out a 108-94 win. Jalen Brunson exploded for 33 points, while Kelly Oubre Jr stepped up as a bright spot for Philadelphia with 22 points. Interior dominance heavily favored the visitors, with New York generating 55 points in the paint per game for the series compared to Philadelphia’s 36. The Knicks are just one win away from being the first team to advance to the Conference Finals, which will shorten their NBA Championship odds if they succeed.

Moving over to the NBA props market, where New York’s star guard will continue to see tremendous offensive volume. Looking at the best-available odds, Brunson’s point total sits at 26.5 which is showing value per our NBA player prop analyzer. Considering his role as the focal point of a highly efficient half-court offense, betting the Over here presents a significant edge.
