The first round of the NBA Playoffs continues today as Detroit heads to Orlando and Oklahoma City travels to Phoenix. If that was not enough, New York tries to rebound against Atlanta while Denver tries to even things up with Minnesota tonight.

I’ll be backing some of the prime daily fantasy choices tonight in my top DFS picks for Saturday. Read below for all the reasons why those selections stand out.

NBA DFS Possibilities at DraftKings

This is noteworthy heading into this Saturday slate. DraftKings features a $50,000 cap ($6,250 average) with the option to pick eight players. Point categories are pretty much the same as the regular season DFS. Slots include the standard five positions (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) then Guard, Forward, and Utility to add more spice to the mix. One cannot pile all their players from a single NBA contest (at least two must be used). Again, do watch for that 1:00 pm ET lock.

Dollar per DFS point is always interesting but not telling. Injuries are too. For example, Aaron Gordon is questionable for Denver with a calf issue. He missed Game 3 and could very well miss Game 4. At $5,800, Gordon is one of those options to consider but an 8:30 pm ET start may make that far more difficult.

The rationale here is simple. See an injury and probably stray away from that player given the time constraints. Stick to the healthy especially in the later matchups which could feature more scoring (DEN-MIN and OKC-PHX).

Top NBA DFS Picks for Saturday

Devin Booker (Phoenix)

When taking the ultimate risk, Phoenix has the crowd on Saturday and Booker is ready to break out. At $8,400, he is cheaper than most of the top options. Booker has struggled to get his shots lately but matchups project to be more favorable. Expect 20+ field goal attempts and closer to 50 daily fantasy points. Royce O’Neale is a Small Forward with interesting upside especially if he plays 30+ minutes on Saturday ($4,500). A Neale-Booker pair is a possibility.

Josh Hart (New York)

Okay, this takes huge risk! Hart laid a large egg in Game 3 with two points and just over 25 fantasy points scored on 1-9 FG’s. Hart is up to $6,600 mostly on the premise that he bounces back. New York needs someone to make shots and Hart figures to be that guy.

Dyson Daniels (Atlanta)

Another player that one is looking toward the double-double or triple-double bonuses as a possibility. His point ceiling is low (has not scored 20+ in five weeks). However, his DFS point potential goes up due to assists and rebounds alone. Having 43 rebounds and 37 assists over his previous five games offers bonus potential.

A Few Pick 6 Options

NBA Championship odds favor Oklahoma City and Boston along with San Antonio for now. Today, we look at stringing together some point projections for DraftKings’ Pick 6. The goal is to make 2+ picks. Naturally the more picks, the higher the risk. A variety of over and under on projections is the key to success. Top targets feature a little less volatility and all it costs is as little as $1. We have a 2-pick and 3-pick wager for Saturday.
