It’s do-or-die for the Dallas Mavericks as they head into a must-win Game 4 on Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors. The tip-off is scheduled for 9:00 pm ET at the American Airlines Center.

The Dubs took a commanding 3-0 series lead on Sunday night, securing a 109-100 victory behind 31 points from Stephen Curry. The Mavs now sit on the brink of elimination as a result.

Can the Warriors Close It Out?

Golden State was always considered a favorite coming into the West Finals, but no one believed they would pull off the clean sweep. That’s exactly where Steve Kerr’s squad sits right now heading into Game 4. The Dubs have looked utterly dominant in this series, killing Dallas on the boards and receiving timely contributions from the entire rotation.

Game 3 was another masterclass performance.  Steph went off for 31 while also dishing out 11 assists. He couldn’t miss from deep either, going 5 for 10. Andrew Wiggins, who has continued to step up in these playoffs, really had a standout outing The Canadian posted 27 points and 11 rebounds, and put Luka Doncic on an absolute poster with the dunk of the postseason.

The Warriors outrebounded the Mavs 47-33 and 14-7 on the offensive boards as Kevon Looney had another fantastic night. He collected 12 rebounds, with many coming at crucial moments. The all-around contributions on both ends are proving to be far too much for Dallas. Golden State should be feeling extremely confident they can book their ticket to the Finals on Tuesday. If the Mavericks are cold from long range again, it’s game over.

Mavs Need Everyone to Step up

Dallas pulled off the unthinkable and took out the Phoenix Suns in the second round. But, Jason Kidd’s group is just simply not showing up and getting the job done in this Dubs series. Luka Doncic is doing all that he can. The man dropped 40 points in Game 3 after scoring 42 in Game 2. The Slovenian is honestly receiving zero help, especially from the shooters.

Jalen Brunson and Spencer Dinwiddie both had solid nights on Tuesday. However, the likes of Reggie Bullock, Maxi Kleber, and Davis Bertans combined to shoot 0 for 14 from beyond the arc. Dallas has lived and died by the triple all playoffs long. If they’re not draining shots, there is not a chance Game 4 will turn out any differently than the first three.

Also, Dallas is getting destroyed inside. Not only did the Warriors kill them on the boards, but they outscored them 46-34 in the paint. Except for Brunson and Doncic, the Mavs typically resort to shooting the three. That’s fine, but if those attempts aren’t landing, it’s going to be an uphill battle. Putting more attention to detail, especially on second-chance points, is vital, too.

Warriors vs Mavericks Prediction

I honestly don’t believe this game is going to turn out any differently. The Warriors hold all the momentum and the Mavs have shown just about nothing. Luka will ball out again, but the supporting cast’s shooting struggles will persist. With the Warriors at +1, it’s a no-brainer pick.

Pick: Warriors +1 (-110)
