  • Three-star forwards headline my NHL player props for Saturday, Oct. 31
  • Goals, points, and assists are all on the card, with a target price set for every pick

Halloween brings a busy Saturday NHL card, and I’m building my player props around three of the league’s biggest names. Toronto (7-6-2) draws a Vancouver team sitting at 3-11-1, Edmonton (9-2-2) meets the Islanders (7-4-2), and Colorado hosts a Calgary club on the second night of a back-to-back.

Prop markets were thin when I checked, so each pick below includes a target price instead of a live quote. If the number hits or beats the target, I’m in. If it doesn’t, I’m passing. You can track the full board on our NHL props page as markets open.

Here are my NHL player props for Saturday, plus where to shop once the lines go up.

Saturday NHL Player Prop Targets (Oct. 31)

PlayerTarget PropTarget PriceBreak-Even
Auston Matthews (TOR)Anytime goal-102 at Caesars Sportsbook50.5%
Nathan MacKinnon (COL)Over 1.5 points-110 at theScore Bet52.3%
Connor McDavid (EDM)Over 1.5 assists+202 at Bet36533%

The break-even column shows the implied probability at each target. Matthews at -110 needs to score about 52.4% of the time to pay off over the long run, while McDavid at +110 only has to cash at roughly a 47.6% clip.

Best NHL Player Props Picks for Saturday

I’m starting my NHL player props with the Leafs’ top goal scorer.

1. Auston Matthews Anytime Goal

Pick: Auston Matthews anytime goal (-102 at Caesars Sportsbook)

Matthews has 10 goals and 23 points in 15 games, about 0.67 goals per night. He’s put 44 shots on net while playing 20:37 a game, and only three of his goals have come on the power play. He’s scoring at even strength, not waiting on penalties.

Vancouver has won just three of its 15 games, and Toronto needs to bank points against teams like this. I’ll take Matthews at -110 or better, a 52.4% implied chance. Anything shorter and I’m waiting for a better number.

2. Nathan MacKinnon Over 1.5 Points

Pick: Nathan MacKinnon Over 1.5 points (-110 at theScore Bet)

MacKinnon has 22 points in 13 games, about 1.69 per night, with 8 goals and 14 assists. He’s also fired 52 shots, or four per game. That volume keeps him in the mix for points even on nights the passing lanes close up.

Calgary faces Colorado on the second night of its Friday-Saturday back-to-back. The Flames are also without Cooley, and the team didn’t name their Saturday starter in the Oct. 30 pregame update. I’m buying MacKinnon at even money or better, a 50% implied chance, for a multi-point night.

3. Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Assists

Pick: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 assists (+202 at Bet365)

I’m wrapping up my NHL player props picks with McDavid’s playmaking. He has 28 assists in 13 games, about 2.15 helpers per night, and is on track for 36 points. He’s logging 23:30 of ice time, so he’s getting a big share of Edmonton’s offense.

The finishers around him are cashing in too. Leon Draisaitl has 12 goals in 13 games, half of them on the power play. With Edmonton (9-2-2) facing a 7-4-2 Islanders team, I’ll grab McDavid at +110 or better, a 47.6% implied chance.

Where to Shop Saturday’s NHL Player Props

These NHL prop prices are targets, not confirmed sportsbook offers. Compare the exact selection and line when the markets open, rather than taking a shorter price just to get a bet down.

Prop menus usually fill in closer to puck drop. Check a few NHL betting apps before locking anything in, since one book may post your target while another sits a few cents short. If a pick never reaches its number, I’d rather pass than chase.
