With two top-tier defenses featured in the No. 7 USC versus No. 20 Utah showdown, betting player unders is an interesting strategy. Since the Pac-12 features a flurry of explosive offense and high-scoring affairs, player prop totals are usually inflated in the conference. Try to correlate your college football Week 7 player props strategy with your totals bets to extract maximum value. Keep an eye on our college football match-ups page for all the updated odds.

Taulia Tagovailoa Passing Yards

Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has lit up the box score through the first half of this season. The younger Tagovailoa brother has thrown for 1731 yards and 11 touchdowns through six games. He’s exceeded 290 yards passing in four of six games and this week faces a porous Indiana Hoosiers secondary.

Besides, the Terrapins throw the football more than almost anyone in the nation under head coach Mike Locksley. Through six games, Maryland has thrown the football on nearly 66% of offensive snaps, good for 2nd in the country. This has correlated to the Terrapins averaging over 53 passing attempts per game, with Tagovailoa averaging 8.8 yards per attempt on the season. Bettors can expect Maryland to air it out early and often in this match-up. Tagovailoa should easily surpass the 35 or so passing attempts he’ll need to hit over 306.5 passing yards and fly through this number.

Pick: Taulia Tagovailoa OVER 306.5 passing yards (-115)

Rakim Jarrett Receiving Yards

Let’s pair our receiver and quarterback totals and stick with the Maryland theme for college football Week 7 player props.

Although Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa has been lighting up the box score this season, top target Rakim Jarrett has been held in check. Jarrett has exceeded 50 receiving yards just once this season. As we’ve noted above, Jarrett and the Terrapins offense should be in for some improvement in the passing game on Saturday.

A vulnerable Hoosiers secondary could be just what the doctor ordered for Jarrett to have a big day. Let’s stack our bets with this quarterback-wide receiver combo for the week 7 player props.

Pick: Rakim Jarrett OVER 53.5 receiving yards (-115)

Michael Mayer Receiving Yards

Fighting Irish tight end Michael Mayer has been on quite the tear the last few weeks. First, Mayer paced Notre Dame with 7 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown in a win over North Carolina. Mayer then exceeded those numbers last week, racking up 11 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Irish to a 28-20 upset over than No. 16 BYU. In doing so, the junior tight end became the Fighting Irish’s all-time receptions leader by a tight end.

On Saturday, Mayer and the resurgent Fighting Irish offense welcome a terrible Stanford Cardinal squad. The Cardinal are allowing opponents to pile up over 480 total yards of offense per game this season. Look for Mayer to easily surpass his receiving yardage total in South Bend on Saturday night.

Pick: Michael Mayer OVER 77.5 receiving yards (-115)
