Terrapins Aim to End Skid
Maryland enters Week 13 vs Rutgers riding a three-game losing streak that includes losses to Wisconsin, Penn State and Ohio State. The good news is that Mike Locksley’s team put up a great fight last weekend against the Buckeyes, covering the 25-point spread in a 43-30 loss.

The big storyline for Maryland right now is the injury status of QB Taulia Tagovailoa. The junior injured his knee against Ohio State, but he practiced this week and appears on track to suit up against Rutgers.
Maryland possesses one of the worst defenses in the Big Ten, but their pass-heavy offense led by Tagovalioa always makes them a threat to light up the scoreboard. The Terrapins are averaging just shy of 400 yards and 30 points per game.
Scarlet Knights Face Uncertainty at QB
Rutgers enters Saturday’s game against Maryland riding a four-game losing streak. The Scarlet Knights have struggled to find consistency at quarterback, which has led to them covering the spread only once during this skid.

Freshman Gavin Wimsatt is projected to start at QB for the Scarlett Knights on Saturday, but’s only completed 45.5% of his passes this season. Greg Schiano’s team ranks second-last in the Big Ten in total offense, averaging just 295.5 yards per game.
While still not an elite unit by any means, Rutgers has at least been somewhat efficient defensively. The Scarlett Knights are giving up 335 yards per game, including only 144 per contest on the ground. Unfortunately, their secondary has been torched all season.
Maryland vs Rutgers Prediction
Maryland sports betting couldn’t have launched at a better time ahead of senior Day in College Park. The Terrapins dominated this matchup by a 40-16 margin last year, and we’re likely to see a similar type of result in Week 13.
Rutgers is allowing 191 passing yards per game and won’t have an answer for Tagalovalio and the Terps’ passing attack. Taulia went off for over 300 yards in this matchup a year ago, and he’ll want to close out the regular season with a bang.

Maryland is coming off a confidence-boosting performance against Ohio State and should snap their skid here. Look for a big performance from senior wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr, who is just five yards short of 2,000 in his career.
Both Maryland and Rutgers have faced powerhouses Ohio State and Michigan this season. While neither team could pull the upset, the Terrapins kept it within two scores against the Buckeyes and Wolverines, while the Scarlet Knights lost by 30-plus points to both.
This college football betting line opened at -13.5 but has been bet up to -14 with sharps loving the Terps under two scores. Grab it before it passes that key number.
Pick: Maryland -14 (-110)
