The Packers are coming off a stunning 23-7 loss in Minnesota in their season opener to extend their current straight losing streak to three games. The Bears travel to Green Bay on a high after claiming a 19-10 victory over the visiting San Francisco 49ers last weekend.

Start time of Sunday night’s contest is set for 8:20pm ET at Lambeau Field. The game-time weather forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a temperature of 72 degrees.

Bears vs Packers Recent History

The Packers have dominated in recent meetings with Chicago, winning and covering in six straight, and in 21 of 24 dates since 2010. Green Bay has claimed victory by double-digit margins in each of their past four meetings, capped by a 45-30 victory as 12-point home chalk in Week 14 of last season.

The Packers have won six straight when facing Chicago under the lights, and averaging 43 points per game over their past two.

With the Packers averaging 36.3 points per game over their past four overall dates with Chicago, it is no surprise that the OVER currently enjoys a 3-1-0 run when these teams meet.

The point spread has heavily tilted in Green Bay’s favor since opening at -8.5, with the Packers garnering 77% of bets against the spread. Another high-scoring affair is expected, with 84% of bets getting placed on the OVER in totals betting.

Chicago Bears Betting Outlook

The Bears are on a high after outlasting the 49ers in last week’s 19-10 win on a rain-soaked gridiron at Soldier Field. After struggling to gain their footing early on, and generating just 68 total yards of offense before halftime, quarterback Justin Fields led the Bears to touchdowns on each of their first three drives after recess.

Despite the unfavorable conditions, Fields connected on a pair of scoring passes, while also leaning heavily on the backfield duo of David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert.

With the win, the Bears improved to 3-1-0 SU over their past four games. While Fields did his part by staging the Bears’ second-half comeback, the Bears defense were effective at containing Niners’ pivot Trey Lance in his debut as that team’s starter. Chicago limited Lance to just 164 yards, and no scores.

In addition to recording a crucial interception after claiming the lead, the Bears forced to San Francisco to turn over the ball on downs in their next two possessions to close things out.

The team also avoided any major injuries in their Week 1 victory, but look unlikely to have rookie receiver Velus Jones Jr. in the lineup as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury.

Green Bay Packers Betting Outlook

The Packers search for answers after being outclassed in last week’s 23-7 loss to the Vikings. Without the benefit of having his favorite receiving target Davante Adams, who left town for Las Vegas in the offseason, quarterback Aaron Rodgers struggled to kick start the Green Bay offense.

Rodgers completed just 22 of 24 pass attempts for 195 yards and no scores and saw two of the team’s three drives into the Minnesota red zone end with turnovers on downs.

The Packers also had no answer to an impressive offensive assault by the Vikings, who opened the scoring with a long 78-yard touchdown drive on their first possession and never looked back. Indeed, the Vikings beat the Packers in the air and on the ground.

This team is now faced with a challenge of sparking an offense that has taken a step back while facing an energized Bears defense. That is further complicated by injuries to receiver Allen Lazard, guard Jon Runyan, and tackles David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins, all of whom are listed as questionable.

Bears vs Packers Prediction

Healthy, energized, and highly motivated to end their losing streak against Green Bay, this is not the same Bears team that has lost six straight to the Packers. While an outright Chicago victory is a big ask, the bears keeping it close is not.

The Pick: Bears +10 (-110) – 1 unit
