Sharp bettors know the way to cash in big with same-game parlays is to build your wager through correlation. If Tom Brady has a big game on Sunday Night Football in Week 1 against the Cowboys, chances are his number-one target will as well.

If the Bucs get out to a big lead on the strength of Brady’s performance, Dallas will likely have to abandon the run. That’s going to increase Dak Prescott’s drop backs and the volume for his favorite targets.

That’s the projected game script for tonight’s SNF same-game parlay.

The Buccaneers are currently -2.5 favorites in Dallas, in a contest with a total of 50. The Buccaneers vs Cowboys betting trends are all over the under while at least one expert is backing Dallas +2.5 in the  Buccaneers vs Cowboys picks.

Mike Evans Over 66.5 Receiving Yards

Chris Godwin, who was questionable in the Buccaneers vs Cowboys injury report, will suit up, but it’s fair to question how effective he’ll be and much he’ll play given that he’s working his way back from an ACL tear.

Godwin commands a heavy share of Tom Brady’s targets when he’s on the field, but when he’s off Evans balls out. In four games without Godwin last season, Evans averaged 93 receiving yards and 10 targets per contest.

Tom Brady Over 274.5 Passing Yards

Brady led the NFL in passing yards last season, and averaged 42 pass attempts per game. He eclipsed the 300-yard plateau 10 times, and put up 379 passing yards in Week 1 last year against this same Cowboys team.

Tampa Bay was one of the league leaders in pass rate over expectation last season, and TB-12 didn’t come back for a 23rd season to turn around and hand the ball off.

Mike Evans 2+ TD

Evans was put on this earth solely for one purpose: to catch touchdowns. The 29-year-old has caught 27 TD in 32 regular season games playing alongside Brady, and was featured in our Buccaneers vs Cowboys player props.

Evans will likely see plenty of Trevon Diggs, aka last season’s INT king, but that’s not a bad thing. Diggs may have a nose for the ball, but he takes way too many risks which lead to big plays from opposing wideouts. He was Pro Football Focus’ 80th graded corner last season, surrendering over 1,000 yards and 5 TD in coverage.

Tony Pollard Over 20.5 Receiving Yards

The Cowboys are short on receiving weapons. Amari Cooper is gone, and Michael Gallup is out for the foreseeable future recovering from a knee injury. The fact that Noah Brown and his 39 career catches is Dallas’ number two wideout at the moment tells you everything you need to know.

Tony Pollard is one of their most explosive playmakers and the Cowboys need to find ways to get him the ball. Reports out of training camp detailed increased usage in the passing game, with Pollard often lining up in the slot. He should see snaps there and in two running back sets with Ezekiel Elliott, as well as when he spells Zeke.

Pollard is going to be on the field a ton, and if we project Dallas to be trailing, he’s going to get a lot of work.

Dallas Cowboys Under 24.5 Points

This is a bet almost solely against Mike McCarthy. The Cowboys head coach is just keeping the seat warm until Sean Payton can take over, and his teams have been underperforming ever since he won a Super Bowl with Green Bay in 2010.

With their receiving corps decimated, and their insistence on continuing to give Elliott too much work, Dallas is likely going to underwhelm again this season.

Tonight’s matchup is no gimme, as the Buccaneers boast the fifth-best defensive line, a top-two secondary, and the seventh best linebacking corps per Pro Football Focus.
