  • Tampa Bay has settled the ship, going 2-0 since Baker Mayfield returned to action
  • Chicago has won its last two games in prime time, knocking off the Patriots and Seahawks
  • Read here for my Buccaneers vs Bears predictions

The Chicago Bears (6-2 SU, 6-2 ATS, 4-4 O/U) look to extend an impressive three-game winning streak as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5 SU, 3-5 ATS, 4-4 O/U) under the lights. This NFC showdown kicks off at Soldier Field on November 8, 2026, at 8:20 PM ET on NBC/Peacock.

Riding their own two-game win streak, Tampa Bay rolls into this matchup hoping to play spoiler by leaning on a physical, downhill ground attack that matches up well in cold-weather conditions. I’m focusing my betting card on a straight-up underdog winner and a high-upside player prop.

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers Moneyline (+245 / 29¢ at Kalshi)

The Bears boast a high-powered offense and home-field advantage, but I’m backing the underdog here. Tampa Bay brings a positive turnover differential and serious momentum into this primetime clash. Chicago’s offensive metrics look great, but the prediction market is currently overvaluing them. At 29¢ for a Yes share on Kalshi, the Buccaneers offer excellent plus-money value in a game that should be a grind-it-out field position battle. I’m taking the value and targeting Tampa Bay to secure the outright upset on the road.

My reasoning for an upset hinges on Tampa Bay’s elite early-down run-stopping unit neutralizing Chicago’s balanced attack. The Buccaneers allow a league-low 80.0 rushing yards per game and rank second in defensive stuff rate, forcing opposing offenses into predictable third-and-long dropbacks. Caleb Williams won’t be shut out, but the Bucs should be able to corral D’Andre Swift and force the Bears into low-percentage situations.

With Baker Mayfield leaning into a heavy, ball-control rushing attack spearheaded by Bucky Irving (168.6 team rushing yards per game), Tampa Bay possesses the personnel to dominate time of possession, protect Mayfield’s injured thumb, and shorten the contest. In a primetime November matchup where one or two turnovers can completely flip game equity, securing a 29% implied probability on a disciplined road underdog is a massive statistical edge. Look no further than when the Bucs stunned the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football in Week 5.

I love the value on the Buccaneers moneyline. The market is heavily shading toward Chicago, but Tampa Bay’s defense thrives on taking the ball away. Traders are paying just 29¢ for a Yes share on Kalshi, giving us a highly lucrative entry point to back the road dogs. Check the latest NFL odds before kickoff.

  • D’Andre Swift Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-163 / 62¢ at Kalshi)

For my NFL props angle, D’Andre Swift is the key to Chicago’s red-zone efficiency. Swift is riding a four-game scoring streak with seven rushing touchdowns over that span, handling 49 carries in his last two outings alone. While the Buccaneers feature a stingy ground-and-pound defense, Swift’s elite volume gives him multiple chances near the goal line.

Inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, Swift commands a dominant 78.6% of Chicago’s high-leverage touches and accounts for 83.3% of their goal-to-go rushing attempts. While Tampa Bay is formidable between the tackles, their perimeter linebackers struggle against dynamic backs on designed swing passes, screens, and outside tosses in condensed spaces, having surrendered four receiving scores to running backs this season.

With Chicago holding a sturdy 26.5-point implied team total and Swift functioning as the undisputed focal point on early downs and goal-line packages alike, backing his volume to breach the end zone is a solid wager.

Swift has scored in five of eight games this season, right in line with the 62¢ price point. He has three multi-score games, including three-touchdown outbursts against the Panthers and Seahawks.

Weather Impact on Buccaneers vs Bears Betting

If you track NFL weather, conditions at Soldier Field look fantastic for November. The forecast predicts clear skies, a brisk 45°F, 67% humidity, and a manageable 9 mph southwest wind. Neither team should face environmental limitations when executing their passing or kicking games.

The weather is calm, both offenses can operate at full capacity. This neutralizes the typical late-season Chicago weather advantage, giving Tampa Bay’s offense a clean track to operate. It reinforces my confidence in pulling the trigger on the road underdog to orchestrate an upset.

TB vs CHI Closing Odds

TB Buccaneers+6.5 (53¢ / -113)Yes 29¢ (+245)Under 47.5 (49¢ / +104)
CHI Bears-6.5 (48¢ / +108)Yes 72¢ (-257)Over 47.5 (52¢ / -108)

The market remains steadfast in backing the Bears, but the slight variations suggest sharp money sees underlying value in Tampa Bay’s plus-money upside. The Bears are 6.5-point favorites at home. The total is set at 47.5, with slight -108 juice to the over. The Bears are also 72¢ to win the game.
