Packers vs Eagles Recent History
Sunday night’s matchup marks the first meeting between these NFC rivals since 2020 and the Packers’ first visit to the City of Brotherly Love since 2016. The Packers have held the upper hand in recent head-to-head clashes, going 6-2 SU over their past eight clashes, including victories in each of their past three trips to Philadelphia.
With the Eagles scoring 20 or fewer points six times over the stretch, the OVER has maintained a steady 14-3-0 run in totals betting. Green Bay also holds a slight 3-2 SU advantage in five primetime dates with Philadelphia since 1996, and both teams are coming off losses in their most recent appearances under the lights.
Green Bay Packers Betting Outlook
The Packers’ season continued to unravel with last weekend’s one-sided 27-17 loss to the Titans. Apart from their narrow 31-28 overtime win over Dallas two weeks ago, this team has struggled to generate offense, averaging just 16 points per game over the six defeats during their current 1-6 SU run. Slow starts have been a particular concern, with the Pack scoring seven or fewer points before the half in four of their past six contests.
Complicating matters is a rash of illnesses that have struck the lineup this week, expanding an already lengthy injury report. The list of ill players includes kicker Mason Crosby, receiver Randall Cobb, and tight end Robert Tonyan. Impacted players began returning to practice on Friday. However, head coach Matt LaFleur has stated if the mysterious ailment is identified as the flu, those who have caught it will have the night off.
The Packers had five players out yesterday with an illness that LaFleur compared to the 2019 season when something went through the locker room in the playoffs.
Said MLF: "We've been testing them for everything. If they have the flu, we're keeping them out (of practice)."

The outbreak comes at a bad time for the Packers, who have been plagued by injuries in recent weeks. Aaron Rodgers continues to mend from a thumb injury suffered last month, but with Tonyan, Cobb, Allen Lazard, Romeo Doubs, and Aaron Jones all nursing ailments, the Packers’ pivot could be faced with limited passing options.
Philadelphia Eagles Betting Outlook
After suffering their first loss of the season two weeks in a primetime date with Washington, the Eagles needed a fourth-quarter rally to get back into the win column last weekend. Trailing 13-3 going into the fourth quarter, Jalen Hurts guided the offense on a pair of scoring drives, capped by a 7-yard TD run by the Eagles pivot to seal the win.

While the victory was welcome, the club’s recent scoring woes remain a concern. After averaging 28.1 points per during their 8-0 start, the Eagles have now averaged just 19 points scored over their past two outings.
The Eagles look to Sunday enjoying far better health than Green Bay, but the few injuries they are nursing are worrisome. Receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith both missed time at practice this week an illness and knee injury, respectively. And considering they have accounted for nine of the team’s 15 scoring catches this season, their absence would be felt.
Packers vs Eagles Prediction
Already on the verge of freefall, the Packers’ growing injury woes should delight loyal Eagles betting fans. But with Philadelphia enduring scoring woes of their own, as well as losing five of eight contests played under the lights, expectations of a blowout victory should be tempered.
