A bevy of true superstars could be in new uniforms come Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season. The list includes receivers Davante Adams, DK Metcalf, and Cooper Kupp, edge rusher Joey Bosa, and aging QB Aaron Rodgers. Meanwhile, Myles Garrett, arguably the most dominant pass rusher in the league today, has said he’s played his last snap for the Cleveland Browns. DraftKings has posted next-team odds for all of the above, which are set out below in alphabetical order (by last name).

After an unproductive 2024 splits between the Raiders and the Jets, Davante Adams was released by New York and is now free to sign anywhere. Will the former Packer head back to where it all began? Green Bay Bay is right in the middle of the league when it comes to cap space ($46.6m) and could be in the market for a true #1 receiver. Adams put up 854 yards in just 11 games with a bad Jets offense last season, which extrapolates out to 1,319 yards over a 17-game season. He still has plenty in the tank.
On the other hand, though, it’s not as if the Packers are starved for talent in their receiving corps – four different players finished with at least 600 receiving yards last year, led by Jayden Reed with 857. Other teams have more cap space and bigger needs at receiver.
The third team on this list, the 49ers, stands out as better value at +600. They have slightly less cap space than Green Bay ($32.9m) but Adams is from Palo Alto and the Niners just parted ways with Deebo Samuel. It’s also a great win-now landing spot for the 32-year-old, who’s still in search of a ring.
The stars are aligning for a homecoming.
Joey Bosa Next Team Odds
The Los Angeles Chargers announced today that they were releasing five-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa. Odds have yet to be posted on his next team, but we will have them for you as soon as they are. The early rumored landing spots include San Francisco, where he could team with his brother Nick to potentially form one of the league’s best pass rushes (if both can stay healthy).
Myles Garrett Next Team Odds
The incumbent Browns remain the favorites to be the next team that Myles Garrett plays for in the NFL, despite no observable shift in Garrett’s camp about never playing for the Browns again. The Browns have Garrett under contract for two more seasons pursuant to a five-year extension he signed ahead of the 2021 campaign.
Garrett has expressed interest in going to Washington, which is why the Commanders are high on the list, coupled with their massive amount of cap space ($78.5m) and the need for a better pass rush.
Cooper Kupp Next Team Odds
The Los Angeles Rams are actively shopping oft-injured receiver Cooper Kupp, who is under contract for two more years. Kupp has $39.58 million remaining on his contract with the Rams, spread out over the next two seasons, and GM Les Snead has been adamant that the chances of Kupp returning in 2025 are basically nil. That’s why the incumbent Rams are listed as +1200 longshots to be the next team Kupp suits up for in the NFL, just a 7.69% implied probability.
There hasn’t been much interest in terms of trade partners so far, according to reports. That isn’t a huge surprise given Kupp’s age, his tendency to get injured, and his massive contract. It’s unclear why the Broncos are listed so high on the list.
DK Metcalf Next Team Odds
Like Myles Garrett, DK Metcalf has requested a trade from his current team, the Seattle Seahawks, after six years in the Pacific Northwest. Metcalf has one year left on his current contract and will account for a $31.8 million cap hit for whichever team he plays for in 2025.
Unlike Garrett, Metcalf has been less, let’s say, vocal about his desire for a trade. Yes, he made the request, but he’s otherwise been fairly silent. The Seahawks have agreed to shop him but Metcalf hasn’t implied he won’t play for the Seahawks if a trade doesn’t come to fruition.
Aaron Rodgers Next Team Odds
Aaron Rodgers is the only play on this list with a clear, odds-on favorite in terms of his next team: the three-time MVP is expected to stay at MetLife Stadium, just switching from the AFC’s Jets to the NFC’s Giants, according to oddsmakers. Rodgers will be free to sign with whichever team he chooses once the Jets release him, which they have already announced the will.
Curiously, though, the Giants are also the new favorite to have the #1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft odds. That would mean the Giants trade up from #3 to #1 and, if history is any guide, teams only do that when they have their eyes on their QB of the future.
