Commanders vs Eagles Weather Forecast Calling for Clouds, Cold

Coming off a 28-22 win over the Rams in a snow bowl of sorts, the Eagles are in for slightly better conditions in the NFC Championship Game against the Commanders. The current forecast for Sunday morning/afternoon is for clouds with sunny breaks, a high of about 32°, and moderate winds with gusts up to 12 mph.

All in all, the weather shouldn’t play too much of a factor in the game, not nearly as much as the Rams game last weekend.

The game total, which opened at 48.5, has already come down a full point to 47.5. In my NFL Conference Championship picks against the spread, I targeted the Eagles to cover an alt-spread of 6.5 at plus-money. Throwing the ball in the Philadelphia winter is no easy task. The weather forecast could certainly be worse for this coming Sunday, but whichever teams controls the line of scrimmage is going to have a much easier time moving the ball. And the Eagles absolutely dominated the line of scrimmage against Washington in their two regular-season meetings.

Saquon Barkley rushed for nearly 300 yards in the two games, combined, going for at least 140 in each.

Bills vs Chiefs Weather Forecast Could Bring Snow

The forecast in Kansas City, Missouri, is slightly colder (high of about 30) with a great chance of snow (40%). But if there is precipitation, it will only be a fraction of an inch, according to the Weather Network as of Tuesday night.

The Texans/Chiefs game last Saturday saw fairly good conditions, yet Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs still managed just 212 total yards in the 23-14 victory.

The Bills vs Chiefs game total, which opened at 49.5, was almost immediately bet down to 47.5. In all likelihood, the early betting action on the under was motivated far more by the Chiefs’ recent offensive struggles, not any inclement weather in the forecast.

The Buffalo vs Kansas City odds have also been moving in favor of the back-to-back Super Bowl-champion Chiefs. The spread opened with Kansas City at -115 on the moneyline and Buffalo at -105. But as of Tuesday night, the Chiefs had shortened to -130 while the Bills were now in plus-money at +110.
