NFC East hostilities renew when the Eagles visit the Cowboys on Monday Night Football to cap off Week 3.
A week after making a statement against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, Dak Prescott had a bit of a letdown against the Chargers. While he finished with just four incompletions, he only managed 237 yards and an interception. Dallas did most of their damage on the ground in a last-second win.
Jalen Hurts meanwhile, followed up a dominant Week 1 showing in Atlanta with an uneven afternoon against the 49ers. Hurts threw for just 190 yards, but mixed in 82 on the ground an a touchdown.
Kickoff from AT&T Stadium is set for 8:15 pm EST on Monday on ESPN.

The Cowboys are favored to move to 2-1, but things could end up tighter than expected with just one of the teams’ four combined games going under in 2021. Both games in 2020 were decided by two scores with the home team winning both times.
Smith Searching for Results
In Week 1, DeVonta Smith burst onto the scene, hauling in six of eight targets for 71 yards and a score. Last week however, the 49ers were able to contain him to just two catches on seven targets. He finished the day with just 16 yards.
Two games into his young career, and Smith leads the Eagles in targets and catches. He’s second to Quez Watkins in receiving yards.

According to ProFootball Focus, Philly’s offensive line has the seventh-best pass block rating at 69.3. Dallas’ pass rush ranks 21st at 67.3 and they’re at the bottom of the league in hurries. Their QB knockdown percentage is also middle-of-the road and they have two sacks.
Even with the injury to Jordan Mailata, Jalen Hurts should look Smith’s way a lot. And with the Cowboys allowing five 90+ yard games already, that 52.5 looks pretty low.
- The Pick: DeVonta Smith OVER 54.5 receiving yards (-110); 1 Unit
TE Party for Prescott?
When you talk about the Cowboys’ passing game this year, the conversation begins with CeeDee Lamb. But this is a tricky spot this week. The overs have hit on both his projected catches and yards the last two weeks. Calvin Ridley only went for 5/51 in Week 1 though, and Deebo Samuel logged a 6/93/0 line last week.
Tight Ends are doing alright from a receptions perspective against Philly. Kyle Pitts and Hayden Hurst each brought in four catches in Week 1. George Kittle pulled in four last week, but only totaled 17 yards.
#DallasCowboys target shares over weeks 1 & 2, Lamb is the consistent receiver whilst Cooper remains boom or bust
CeeDee Lamb – 28.6% (185yds, 1td)
Amari Cooper – 25.0% (163yds, 2tds)
Dalton Schultz – 9.5% (63yds)
Blake Jarwin- 9.5% (57yds)#NFL #FantasyFootball #CowboysNation— TPSports (@TPSportAnalysis) September 23, 2021
Amari Cooper will play, but will be protecting his injured ribs. Both Dalton Schultz (six) and Blake Jarwin (three) hit the over in Week 1. Jarwin hauled in another three against the Chargers.
In Week 1 Jarwin ran 35 routes, but that fell back down to 16 in Week 2. All opposing TEs have run at least 25 routes against Philly this year, so if Dallas follows that script, there will be opportunities.
- The Pick: Blake Jarwin OVER 2.5 receptions (-110); 1 Unit

When it comes to scoring first, the Eagles are 1-for-2 this year. DeVonta Smith scored the first touchdown against Atlanta, but Philly didn’t cross the goalline until late in the fourth against San Fran.
The Cowboys are batting .500 in that department as well. After Lamb responded to Antonio Brown’s opening score in Week 1, Tony Pollard took it in from four yards out last week.

Sticking with Dallas’ aerial attack, Lamb has been a big-time receiver through two games. He didn’t pull one down for six in Week 2, so expect Dak to get him back in the redzone mix early on in a divisional game.
When it comes to scoring overall, in his six career starts, Hurts has four rushing TDs. He was held off the scoresheet in their Week 16 meeting last year, but he still carried the ball nine times for 69 yards. He was 20th in QB rushing attempts inside the 10 last year, and he’s already seventh this year.
- The Pick: CeeDee Lamb to score FIRST TD (+850); 1 Unit
- The Pick: Jalen Hurts to score ANYTIME (+125); 1 Unit
