Raiders & Two Other Underdogs Are Seeing a Lot of Sharp Money in Week 2

This is a trend sharp bettors might be picking up on, as they’ve found three underdogs the public is fading and have hit them hard. Two of the three covered as underdogs in Week 1.

Let’s start with the one you already know: the Oakland Raiders.

Sharps Taking Points with Raiders at Home

After all the drama the Raiders dealt with heading into Week 1 due to Antonio Brown wanting out, they turned in a pretty inspiring performance on Monday Night Football against the Broncos.

Oakland ended up winning 24-16 as 3-point home dogs. They find themselves in the same situation in Week 2, but this time as 7-point underdogs at home.

The majority of bettors are siding with the Chiefs here, as 62% of the money is on Kansas City. However, of the money bet on Oakland, a hefty 72% of it comes from sharp bettors.

Sharp Bettors Sticking with Cardinals

In Week 1, oddsmakers reported that even though the majority of money was on Detroit to cover as 3-pint road favorites, 80% of the money bet on Arizona was coming from their highly respected players.

Thanks to 18 straight points in the fourth quarter, the sharps got the result they wanted, as the Cardinals wound up managing a 27-27 tie.

Sharp bettors apparently saw enough from Cliff Kingsbury’s squad int he final 25 minutes of the game to bet them again in Week 2 as underdogs.

As was the case last week, the majority of the money is against the Cardinals – 74% of the total handle is on the heavily favored Baltimore Ravens. But 80% of the money on Arizona to cover is again coming from sharps.

Nearly All Money on Lions Coming From Pros

As mentioned above, the sharp money was bet against Detroit in Week 1. But the the professional players are counting on a more complete game from the Lions in Week 2, when they host the Chargers as 1-point underdogs.

So much sharp money has come in on the Lions that it’s resulted in the spread moving from LAC -3 all the way down to 1.

Oddsmakers report that it’s hard to find a parlay or teaser that does not include the Chargers. Yet, an incredible 94% of money on Detroit is coming from their professional bettors.
