Two bitter AFC North rivals will take the field Sunday afternoon when the Baltimore Ravens (8-3) visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5-1). Kickoff from Heinz Field is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s with a slight wind and small chance of precipitation later in the game.

The Ravens played one of their worst games of the season last week but somehow still beat the Cleveland Browns 16-10 on Sunday Night Football. The ugliness was led by Lamar Jackson who threw four interceptions on the night. No matter how bad the Ravens were, no team in the NFL was worse than the Steelers who were boat-raced 41-10 in a game that was not as close as the final score indicates.

The latest odds are showing the Ravens as 4-point favorites although the Steelers have taken in 83% of the early wagers. The total is floundering at 44 which is one of the lowest on the slate. Bettors are not sold on the ability of these two offenses to score points.

Baltimore Ravens Outlook

The Baltimore Ravens played one of the worst football games mankind has ever seen last Sunday night. There were turnovers left and right and when it was all said and done, Lamar Jackson had a 46.5 quarterback rating. Still, they found a way to win and now sit at 8-3 and on top of the AFC North.

What’s scary is, as bad as they played, they still showed flashes of what they are capable of when firing on all cylinders.

The thing about the Ravens is they can win in a myriad of ways. To overcome four interceptions by your quarterback is not easy to do and you need a defense to do it. The Ravens held Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to just 36 rushing yards which is unheard of. If they stop the run like that this week, the Steelers will be in trouble.

Pittsburgh Steelers Outlook

The Pittsburgh Steelers are an absolute train wreck at the moment. Even though they are 5-5-1, their season feels as dead as can be and it’s only a matter of time before their fans are put out of their misery. Sure, fingers can be pointed everywhere as to why but the biggest reason for their shortcomings is quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Even guys who don’t play for the team anymore are calling him out at this point.

Roethlisberger looks worse than he has ever looked in his career. The issue is, the Steelers don’t have someone better than him to replace him. Despite having six games where he has thrown at least 40 passes, Roethlisberger only has one 300-yard game. It’s hard to win in the NFL with quarterback play like that.

Ravens vs Steelers Best Bet

As chalky as it is to take the Baltimore Ravens -4, I’m doing it. That number should attract many other bettors so I’d expect it to be higher by the time kickoff rolls around. Still, I don’t care if the public is on this one. I will be too.

As bad as Roethlisberger has been, the Steelers’ defense has failed them too. Albeit because the offense can’t move the ball but still. They’ve given up 41 points in each of the last two games which will not get it done this week. This represents a great “get right” spot for the Ravens even though they technically won last week. I think this game has blowout written all over it.
