NFC West rivals clash tonight as the Seattle Seahawks (2-1, 1-0 away) travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals (2-1, 1-0 home). Seattle enters play fresh off back-to-back impressive victories, while Arizona’s perfect start was derailed last week by the shorthanded 49ers. Online sportsbooks are currently siding with the Seahawks in the NFL odds, but as I’ll get to, the line looks much different now than when the week began.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15pm ET from State Farm Stadium, in Glendale, AZ, with Prime Video providing the broadcast coverage.

Seattle was initially catching 1.5 points when the opening Week 4 odds were released. That line made no sense to me and didn’t last long. The Seahawks quickly moved to 1.5-point favorites on the heels of looking like one of the top NFC contenders in the NFL Conference Championship odds over the last two weeks.

After dismantling the Steelers on the road, Seattle returned home last week to pummel the Saints, 44-13. The Seahawks enter TNF ranked top-four defensively in both pass-rush win rate (2nd) and run-stop win rate (4th). Seattle is second in scoring defense, and fourth in takeaways, and grades out fifth on special teams.

Offensively, they’re also a top-five unit, and feature four players that grade out in the top-five at their position per Pro Football Focus. No QB grades out higher through three weeks than Seattle’s Sam Darnold, and he and star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba are set up for a monster game tonight.

That’s because the Arizona secondary is banged up. Not only that, but they’ve been one of the worst coverage units in the league. The Cards have surrendered the second most passing yards, and have allowed a perfect 100% completion percentage on play action passes. That’s despite facing Spencer Rattler, Bryce Young and Mac Jones.

Darnold meanwhile, leads the NFL in yards per attempt on play action at 14.3, and has completed 90% of his 10+ yard throws.

In addition to the defensive injuries, Arizona is also without running back James Connor. He’s done for the season, putting even more pressure on Kyler Murray’s arm. The 28-year-old has one of the lowest yards per attempt averages in football, and has fallen below 165 passing yards in two of three 2025 starts.

To make matters worse, his top wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has been plagued by drops. The former 1st round pick had two on Sunday, and owns just a 58% catch rate so far.

Seahawks vs Cardinals Betting Trends

As for the betting trends, they support a Seattle wager as well. The Seahawks are 7-0 straight up in their last seven games versus the Cardinals, and 6-1 against the spread. Seattle has also been a road warrior since Mike McDonald took over coaching duties, going 8-1 straight up as visitors, and 5-3 ATS.

The best odds we can get on the Seahawks -1.5 is currently -105 at BetMGM. Bet365 is the best place to grab the Cards against the spread, as they’re hanging a +2. FanDuel meanwhile, is offering the highest payout on an Arizona outright upset at +114.

Total-wise, the consensus number is 43.5 across the board, down a point from it’s opener. Bet365 has the shortest odds on the over at -110, while DraftKings has the lowest juice on the under at -108.
