In an alternate universe where sports betting didn’t exist, it might be tough to get excited for the Steelers vs Colts Monday Night Football matchup.

These are two teams going nowhere fast, and the game features a minuscule 39-point total, one of the lowest on the Week 12 slate.

However, thanks to sports betting, and specifically the Monday Night Football player props market, every NFL matchup regardless of who’s on the field is can’t miss tv.

We’ve put together a Steelers vs Colts player props card for you to tail below, starting with a fade of Najee Harris, in spite of his recent success.

Harris has an over/under rushing yards prop of 58.5, which is 28 yards fewer than opposing running back Jonathan Taylor’s. The Steelers RB has seen an uptick in volume recently, but Monday’s matchup versus the Colts is not a favorable one.

MNF Prop #1: Najee Harris Under 58.5 Rushing Yards

Harris has seen 20 carries in back-to-back weeks. If he gets that kind of volume on MNF this wager could be in trouble unless he’s horribly inefficient – something we can’t rule out.

The case against Harris is simple. For starters, Pittsburgh is a 2.5-point road underdog. There’s a strong chance they’re playing from behind in this matchup, but even if they’re not yards will be tough to come by.

Indianapolis boasts an underrated front seven and has excelled against the run this season. They rank 6th in rush defense DVOA, and just held the Eagles running back to 3.2 yards per carry over 17 attempts.

Harris has produced 90 and 99 rushing yards over the past two weeks, but note both of those matchups were against underwhelming rush defenses in New Orleans (20) and Cincinnati (16). In games against good rush defenses this season, the results have not been pretty. He posted rushing yards totals of 42, 20, and 49 against the Bucs, Bills and Pats, and we should expect a similar outcome versus Indy.

Pick: Najee Harris Under 58.5 Rushing Yards (-115), 1 unit

MNF Prop #2: Diontae Johnson Under 46.5 Receiving Yards

Diontae Johnson had remarkable chemistry with Ben Roethlisberger. He even meshed well with Mitch Trubisky. However, Johnson and Kenny Pickett don’t seem to be on the same page.

Johnson has posted receiving yards totals of 28, 42, 35, 63, and 21 in the last five games Pickett has started. He’s still averaging 4.5 catches per game, but that’s far cry from the 6.8 receptions he averaged with Big Ben in 2021.

Diontae Johnson 2022 Stats – Last 5 Games

REC TGT YDS TD
4 5 21 0
4 5 63 0
5 9 35 0
5 10 42 0
5 7 28 0

As for the matchup, it’s not great. The Colts rank top-10 per Pro Football Focus in coverage grade, and have allowed the third fewest yards to enemy receivers.

Pick: Diontae Johnson Under 46.5 Receiving Yards (-115), 1 unit

As far as the anytime touchdown market goes, it’s no surprise to see Jonathan Taylor leading the way. His -160 price tag is reasonable given his talent and red zone role, but we’re looking a little further down the board for our target in our Steelers vs Colts picks.

MNF Prop #3: Parris Campbell Anytime TD

Parris Campbell has seen a ton of opportunity over the last six weeks. Michael Pittman Jr may be the primary Colts receiving option, but Campbell is closing the cap. The former Ohio State product has seen 45 targets over his past six games, while scoring in three of his last seven outings.

The Steelers actually grade out very well against the run, reducing the chances of a big Taylor TD performance. Indy may have to lean heavier on the passing game to score, and if that’s the case Campbell’s anytime TD odds are too good to ignore.

Pick: Parris Campbell Anytime TD (+340), 0.5 units
