Chiefs Super Bowl Odds Path

The Chiefs opened at +750 in the opening Super Bowl 57 championship odds last February. That came after they to the Bengals in overtime in the AFC Championship Game.

Those odds reached a high of +1000 in early September. By the time they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in a divisional-round playoff round, the Chiefs had improved to +255

The Chiefs are just 7-11-1 against the spread this season. They have been favored in all but one game.

Eagles Super Odds Path

The Eagles opened as longshots at +3650 after being knocked in the wild card round of last year’s playoffs by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

By mid-March, those odds had risen to +4500. However, the Eagles’ odds steadily dropped until they were down to +255 prior to Sunday’s win over the 49ers.

The Eagles have gone 10-9 ATS during the 2022 season. Like the Chiefs, they have been favored in 18 of their 19 games.

Chiefs vs Eagles Early Odds & Prediction

The Chiefs will bring a seven-game winning streak into the Super Bowl. The Eagles have won nine of their last 11 games.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes scrambled for a first down on a badly sprained ankle to set up Harrison Butker’s game-winning 45-yard field goal with three seconds left. The Bengals were also penalized on Mahomes’ run when Joseph Ossai shoved him out of bounds late.

Despite the injury, Mahomes passed for 326 yards and two touchdowns. Marquez Valdes-Scantling had six receptions for 116 yards and a TD.

Miles Sanders rushed for two touchdowns and Jalen Hurts also had a touchdown on the ground to lead the Eagles over the 49ers. Haason Reddick knocked 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy out of the game with an elbow injury on a strip sack during San Francisco’s first drive.

The Eagles won even though Hurts accounted for just 160 yards of total offense with 121 passing and 39 rushing.

This shapes up to be an exciting Super Bowl matchup but look for Mahomes to work his magic one more time.

Pick: Chiefs -1.5 (-104)
