Eagles vs Cowboys Early Odds & Prediction

Some of the luster is off this matchup after the Philadelphia Eagles all but clinched the NFC East title Sunday with a combination of their 25-20 victory over the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys’ 40-34 loss in overtime to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

However, it should still be an interesting game after Jalen Hurts tied a career-high with three touchdown runs Sunday for the Eagles. His 13 rushing TDs are one short of the NFL single-season record for a quarterback set by Cam Newton in 2011 with the Carolina Panthers.

Hurts finished with 61 yards rushing. He also threw for 315 yards, completing 22 of 37 passes with two interceptions.

The Cowboys couldn’t hold a 27-10 lead and wound up losing when the Jaguars’ Rayshawn Jenkins had a 52-yard interception return for a TD in overtime. That snapped Dallas’ five-game winning streak.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed 23 of 30 passes for 256 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Two of his TD passes went to Noah Brown.

The Eagles have the best record in the NFL but the Cowboys need this game to try to get a good playoff seed.

Pick: Cowboys +1.5 (-115)

Bengals vs Patriots Early Odds & Prediction

The Cincinnati Bengals (10-4) will bring a six-game winning streak into this matchup after rallying for a 34-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday on the road. The Patriots (7-7) bizarrely lost to the Raiders 30-24 in Las Vegas for their third defeat in the four games.

Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes in the second half as the Bengals overcame a 17-3 deficit at intermission. Cincinnati took over sole possessions of first place in the AFC Central by a game over the Baltimore Ravens.

Burrow finished 27 of 39 for 200 yards and was intercepted once.

The Patriots lost when the Raiders’ Chandler Jones returned a botched lateral 48 yards for a touchdown on the game’s final play.

With the game tied 24-24, the Patriots tried a series of pitches to score a touchdown at the end of regulation. However, Jakobi Meyers heaved the ball across the field right into Jones’ arms and he scored untouched.

The Patriots’ backs are again the wall, so look for a strong bounce-back effort at home.

Pick: Patriots +3 (-108)

Jaguars vs Jets Early Odds & Prediction

Based solely on recency bias, it’s understandable why the Jaguars have opened as favorites. Jacksonville has won three of its last four games and the Jets have lost three games in a row and four of their last five.

However, the Jets still have a talented team – more so than the Jaguars — despite Zach Wilson’s disappointing play at quarterback. QB Mike White will likely return from rib injuries to play Thursday. If he does, then the Jets are a live dog.

Pick: Jets +1.5 (-120)
