- The Cincinnati Bengals are 5-0 ATS over the past five games in NFL picks against the spread
- The Atlanta Falcons finally failed to cover in Week 7, dropping to 6-1 ATS on the season
- Meanwhile, the New York York Giants are 6-1 both straight up and ATS. Are any of these teams a good bet in our early Week 8 NFL picks against the spread?
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are on a roll. WIth the Atlanta Falcons finally falling from the ranks of the ATS unbeaten during Week 7, it’s the Bengals who now hold forth as the active ATS kings of the NFL.
In the last five games, Cincinnati is 4-1 straight up. However, during that same stretch of games, the Bengals are 5-0 against the spread in the NFL odds.
At 5-2 ATS, Cincinnati trails only the Falcons (6-1), New York Giants (6-1) and Buffalo Bills (4-1-1) in ATS winning percentage this season.
At the other end of the spectrum, a win by the Carolina Panthers over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers left both teams 2-5 ATS for the season. They’re tied for the NFL’s worst ATS slates with the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints.
Are any of the above teams factoring into this week’s best bets? How about we look at the NFL Week 8 ATS picks and find out.

NFL ATS Pick 1: Bengals (-3) vs Browns
When Burrow drops back, he can look downfield for Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins or Tyler Boyd. On the other hand, he can just hand the ball to Joe Mixon and let him do this thing.

Cincinnati is fourth in passing offense. Cleveland is third in rushing offense. However, while the Bengals are #8 in scoring offense, Cleveland rates #29. Sports bettors in Ohio can also look forward to legal Ohio sports betting soon, as Ohio is set to launch in January 2023.
Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -3 (-110), 1 unit
NFL ATS Pick 2: Ravens (-1.5) vs Buccaneers
A hot item for Halloween is the Tom Brady grumpy old man costume. It comes with 12 different phrases to yell at everyone else and a handy iPad for tossing angrily.

In reality, Baltimore is starting to do the things the Ravens traditionally do well, which are run the football and play tough defense. Tampa Bay is a hot mess and the Ravens are not going to prove to be chicken soup for the Buccaneers’ soul.
Pick: Baltimore Ravens -1.5 (-110), 1 unit
NFL ATS Pick 3: Titans (-1.5) vs Texans
Houston is the NFL’s worst defense against the run (164.7 yards per game). Tennessee has two-time NFL rushing champ Derrick Henry.

With Titans QB Ryan Tannehill nursing a sore ankle, they plan to ride their Henry horse even more. That’s bad news for the Texans.
Pick: Tennessee Titans (-110), 1 unit
- ATS season record 13-7-1
NFL Week 8 Against the Spread Quick Picks
- Jaguars (-3) vs Broncos: As noted above, neither of these teams are good ATS squads. Give Jacksonville the edge at home.
- Eagles (-11) vs Steelers: Philadelphia is 4-0 SU and ATS in the last four games against Pittsburgh.
- Patriots (-1.5) vs Jets: Patriots coming off a short week, but Jets are without RB Breece Hall (ACL).
- Falcons (-4.5) vs Panthers: The week after finally failing to cover ATS the Falcons are favored for the first time this season.
- Raiders (-2) vs Saints: This one could be the best over bet of Week 8. Both clubs have plenty of offensive weapons.
- Cowboys (-9.5) vs Bears: Dallas will punish Chicago with a stout run game.
- Cardinals (+3.5) vs Vikings: The return of DeAndre Hopkins last week seemed to ignite Kyler Murray and the Arizona offense.
- Seahawks (-3) vs Giants: Asking the Giants to win tough road games on opposite coasts in successive weeks is a tall order.
- Bills (-11.5) vs Packers: Aaron Rodgers loves conspiracy theories, so here’s one to ponder – his sole purpose for returning this season was to destroy the Packers franchise from within.
- Dolphins (-3) vs Lions: Detroit still can’t stop anybody and went from the NFL’s #1 scoring offense to netting six points over the past two games.
- 49ers (-1.5) vs Rams: Against the Rams during regular season play, 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo is 6-0.
- Colts (-3) vs Commanders: In what figures to be a battle of backup QBs, Indianapolis looks to be the better team.
